I guess you have not being reading the comic. Screamer goes back and takes control of cybertron and thats another loop hole since they are making the comic so that it slides in with the movie

 

 

I only have RoS 1, and 2 haven't found 3 yet and if you mean where Starscream goes in #2 that isn't Cybertron it is probably Mars since that is where they supposedly landed on their way here.

 

My only question is what planet did Arcee, and the rest of the Autobots land the "Ark" on? I know they are probably on a planet here in the solar system but I'm not sure which one, and I doubt it is Mars since they'd be fighting the cons if they were there together, and we know it isn't Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, or Neptune since they all have such immense gravity that they'd probably be crushed, and Mercury, and Venus are probably too close to the sun for them. So that leaves Pluto, and a whole bunch of moons through out the solar system.

I think the in-movie design will be largely unchanged. We'll just get new, more movie accurate toy molds.

 

And we'll buy them.

Assuming all those Bots will get updated designs ... all those on-set pics showing up lately would be fake too ... might explain the old, rusty, just too damn silly icecream van ;)

 

 

Oh, and some spoilered text, just to provide you with the joy of interaction. Isn't it great ?

 

Sigh....building a CGI model of the complexity that we saw in TF1 costs money. A lot of money. So not only does reusing the character models of the returning TF1 cast make sense, it's also been confirmed.

 

Prime, 'Bee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream, and Barricade (maybe) will return with their TF1 bodies intact, because lets face it, it makes the most sense economically for them to do so.

 

Hobbes hit the nail on the head; any new toys of returning bots from the first film will more likely be better, more accurate toys of existing designs.

I agree. LC OP had several flaws. namely his arms not being in the nose of the truck like they were in the movie. I know hasbro can do a better job at an OP toy. I'll give them brownie points if they can make one with an opening mouth plate. Maybe hasbro should consider SUPREME CLASS. If it would allow for a transformation accurate enough to at least put his limbs in the correct places. That's all I ask.

 

And as for other characters, they can definitely introduce a new toy of Munky in LC. With the presence of hands, a much more elaborate transformation, and maybe some sort of electronics. Not to mention an F-22 mode with a completely redone undercarriage.

 

But how would they improve upon Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Barricade (if he's in the movie)? I personally felt voyager Ironhide was spot on. And Deluxe Bumblebee was amazing enough to be damn near impossible to find.
