they better have guys like brawl blitzwing onslaught starscream and the seekers etc i'd buy those heck i'm buying me BT tracks and ALT deadend this month

hasbro would be fools not to expand the alternators line beyond cars. theres only so many ways to create transforming cars without constantly re-using the same ideas, eventually it will get boring. planes and military vehicles gives them a lot more room to get creative and will keep the fans interested in the line.

well we still have alot more different types of cars that would yield some pretty cool transformations. Let's how about an SUV or a pick up truck. we still have not gone that dirrection yet.........and I'm puzzled as to why

Wow, I was actually looking forward to seeing the seekers as the tricked out cars. I have seen some of the kitbashes some of the guys around here have done, and if we got something nearly as kewl it would KICK ASS :eplus

i think we should take this with a pinch of salf just cuz they planed to do somthing does not mean it will ever hit the shelfs like the beast wars neo unicron also keep in mind we are not hasbos targit market

I agree with Blitz and Wheel-Jack, there is really nothing earth shatteringly new here. This is all stuff Hasbro implied at OTFCC

It is long speculated that if Alts did well, Hasbro would expand the line, and a cheap CGI film also is nothing new. GI Joe has been using direct to video to great effect over the course of the current line.

 

But if any of you hope for Pixar or Dreamworks, keep dreaming. Those two are A-list animation companies, and it would not be profitable to have them do an Alt production (for either the company or Hasbro), nor would they really be interested in doing a direct to video release. Something like GI Joe Spytroops or Valor vs Venom films are far more likely.

If this rumor turns out to be true, and they really are going to expand the Alternators beyond just cars, then Hasbro/Takara would be stupid not to do ALTERNATORS CONSTRUCTICONS!!! This could flesh out the lack of Decepticons in the toyline. They could license the machines from Caterpillar. They would be slightly larger in scale than the Alternators cars. I think the cars are roughly 8 inches tall in robot mode. The Constructicons would need to be about 9.5-10 inches tall. And they would *HAVE* to combine to form Devastator. Yes it would be expensive to pay $35-$50 each for 5 or 6 Constructicons, but you'd better believe people would pay through the nose to have a 2 foot tall Devastator. I know I would!

yea, but i think Hasbro/Takara already said they're NOT going to do any combiner BinalTech or Alternator figs. hence why we have one stunticon and one combaticon in the line, but there's no Menasor or Bruticus in our future...

they said there are no plans to combiners, but they change their minds all the time, look at DE, who will forever be an example of mind changing at its best, oh and yellow tracks to blue tracks, regardless dev is one of the most popular gest out there, and if they made an alt version of the con's and could combine that be cool, however i do see one problem w/ them doing this.....by x-mas 04 we should have 9 alts, and they do on avg about 2 every 3-4 months, that's not including the repaints added in w/ the new figs, by the time we got all 6 con's for dev which estimate 2-3yrs for us to get all the peices, i don't think many would keep up or care just b-cuz of length of time.

ANY new Alternators need to be at the same scale (1:24). Isn't that part of the "Model car" appeal of Alts? What, are we gonna have a jet that's only slightly larger than the Dodge Viper? Ooooooooh, watch out! :tftongue
