Span of Time in the TF movie

Recommended Posts

So how long do you guys think from start to finish the story in TF:TM takes to unfold? My guess is three days, if that's the case, it sure takes a while for Unicron to digest food :P (ie; spike, jazz, and cliffjumper)

Actually, it takes Unicron only a few minutes to eat both of Cybertron's moons, but Galvatron has enough time to travel to Earth, track the Autobots down to Junk and return to Cybertron before Unicron even starts moving towards the planet.

don't forget BUMPER!!!!

It seems very fast paced, but doesnt really clue you in on how much time has taken place. The first battle of autobot city lasts for a day, and prime dies at the end. The next morning Autobot city is attached by Galvatron and his cronies. Then they go off to the planet of Junk and Quintessa, and from there to Unicron.

But no real idea about how much time passes, especially after they leave earth.

He's got a very fast spaceship...?

Here's another thought: unless Transformers on Cybertron figured out some way to communicate in real time with Earth (despite the billions of miles apart thing), there would have been a serious time delay between the time Spike and Bumblebee tried to contact Earth and the time they actually received their message.

Just saying.... :D

That is true, but they did have the space bridge or whatever they were calling it in G1. The bridge that the decepticons built to travel back and forth from Cyberton without the use of a space ship. So if they can make decepticons and autobots cross millions of miles in an instant. So if they had this technology I am sure they found some way to get communications across instantly.

I know -- that's just my smart-alecky way of pointing out that the TF writers weren't exactly physicists... Of course, to be fair, their target audience was a bunch of kids. Which makes it all the more silly to be discussing such things so deadly seriously. :redface

That's Bumblebee. Or did you mean the generic TF at the back of the line?

the generic tf with that looks like Bumper/Bumblejumper
