Reissue Predaking

Recommended Posts

In this case I would say that cost has influenced the decision to not include metal in the Predaking reissue. I don't see it as a new trend, just this one time to keep the price down.

I would hope that this would be the only case where they would do this. An all-plastic G1 Wheeljack, for instance, would really suck.

I think that

A: haven't bought any Binaltech recently

or

B: you guys don't remember how badly the old Diecast G1s chipped

I am very glad that the switch to plasic is being made with some reissue parts, i hate the paint chipping that occurs on die cast TFs. Secondly, although Predaking is a HIGHLY overated figure (IMHO) i am glad for the plastic if it reduces the over all price.

Wow. Resorting to personal attacks, I must have hit a nerve. You can't rebutt a comment without resorting to kindergarten? If you are going to suggest that someone is childlike it is a good idea to use grammar above the third grade level.

I opened this thread for a discussion of the topic, not a flamewar. I just find it interesting that Takara may be changing gears in the middle of the TF Collection line and possibly releasing a product without die cast metal when all the other reissues have included it.

Sorry Bubba, you are the one that resorted to personal attacks. When you miss-quote someone or take a statement out of context, to try and make their point sound negative that is a personal attack. And by no means what so ever did you touch a nerve in me. The only thing that bothered me is that you acted like you knew what I was thinking without knowing all the facts, I was just trying pointing that out to you in the previous post.

And from what I have read about the Takara Predaking, the die-cast version may have not been offered in Japan. In such they wouldn't be changing gears at all if this is indeed factual.

The Die-Cast version of Predaking was never offered in Japan, or as a giftset. I mentioned this in the initial post.

I don't care what you were thinking, I commented only on what was written. "It’s not like they are replacing die-cast parts with plastic parts. They made both in G1 so it shouldn't be a shock if it ends up being the plastic version." They ARE replacing die cast parts with plastic parts... again, the same way they replaced rubber parts with plastic parts, and chrome parts with plain parts.

1987olds442 think what you will. I made no personal attacks. I did not choose to use the term "whinny child" or tell anyone to "God dude get a life, and relax." I also never recall suggesting that anyone "go to a bar, club, etc. pick up a couple of hotties."

"Whinny" is a noise that a horse makes. Are you suggesting I sound like a horse child?

"Prediking" has an A in it.

Jeez, everybody chill out. I'm just happy they are going to re-issue Predaking, plastic or die cast. I would rather have die cast but I'm happy it is going to be re-issued. I have a G1 Rampage that is plastic and it has to be just as durable as the die cast version. I have also heard that the metal Predaking has a tendency to slouch compared to the plastic one. That being because it is heavier than the plastic one. Oh well, just my 2 cents.

The plastic versions are probably more durable than the die-cast. Die cast chips where plastic scratches etc. I don't have any plans to be smashing these guys together once they are out of the box, so I am less worried than some about chipping.

I think the best thing about this reissue in general is the fact that we can all get a perfect set of Divebomb's wings without any wrinkles in them. Those factory stickers are hard to come by in good shape.

That's true. My friend had Predaking and Divebomb's stickers were wrinkled when Predaking was brand new.

A side note: Did anyone else notice in the TFormers.com gallery that the sign next to the displayed Predaking lists him as #20? I wonder who #17-19 are gonna be...

2) I am right, and Takara has reissued the "Japanese Version," and unfortunately stuck us with plastic. You can get the real plastic version sometimes for less than this reissue is priced at.

less than 120 dollars? that would rock

:pfx Completely Diesel everyone needs to chill out. And like stated in several of my post, I would prefer the die-cast version but I would be happy with the plastic version. Just because the quality of the plastic Predaking is just as good as the one with die-cast.

And please, if you are going to quote me please use don't change the wording. That is just plan wrong.

I agree that would rock indeed.
