As mush as I want to be a Completeist and have like every figure, I would not be able to especially when I collect other Toy Lines! : :tdown

i consider myself a completist, but i'm really getting tired of the repaints, universe is fine, but now we're going to start seeing energon repaints of hot shot, strong arm, signal flare, megatron, i'm starting to rethink my view on that

I know one guy. He is a star wars completeist. MAN he is rich literally. He made millons on the stock exchange. LUCKY SOB andyways he is loaded has an archieve for evry star wars items. Even props 600+ http://rebelscum.com

I'm a completist in terms that I want to get at least one version of a character in a certain line. I've did that in Armada, and now doing the same thing with Energon. So far, I allow myself to get sucked into repaints when the name is different like Armada Thundercracker and Skywarp, especially when they're in another line like Energon Ultra Magnus, Treadbolt, Rapid Run. I'm not into repaints that are "Powerlinx" versions though, and with his size and price, I have no interest in purchasing Unicron no matter how cool I think his new paintjob looks.

Hell no! I definitely do not want to be a completist TF collectors. Quality over quantity! I think the same practice applies to any collecting hobby, cels, TF, women, etc. :beer

I can understand why you'd want to have a complete set(this really helps with gesalts and combiners!), but i agree with viktor: some molds just stink. It's better to save your money for the cool ones, and let the repaints that don't hold anything for you go. "Collect them all!" printed on the back of every package, is actually hasbro's secret code for" Give us all your money, so we can sell you a few good pieces and a lot of crap not even worth the petroleum its made of!" :tflaugh
