Yes, he is.

 

1) We've seen pictures, and he's definitely Deluxe sized.

 

2) I'm holding the TFCC magazine for April/May, and they list the Deluxe figures for waves 2 and 3. Soundwave's listed as a Wave 3 Deluxe.

 

ps-So is Snarl (Wave 2).

Hey Nortagem, you have to think of the size difference in BOTH modes. When they are vehicles, is when they are a accurate size. I think thats hasbro's plan. Cause a bunch of cars and trucks dont look "in scale" then it looks bad . EXPECIALLY since they SELL them in vehicle/alt mode.

 

Thats my take. And i think that they do a pretty DAMN GOOD job nowq adays compared to the early years. Nortagem my friend, you must not been collecting for long. Cause this is THE BEST they have done IMO.

my only complaint is the turrets dont come down like classics jetfire. (or do they? probably not)

A triple changer that finally doesn't look like crap

 

Hasbro pulls off both modes pretty well and the bot mode is pure win.

 

The size comparison to Lugnut in alt mode is good but not so much in bot mode.

 

Adds to list of must buy TFA.

I got mine today. It's a really good figure, but it's not all bells and whistles. 2 little problems:

 

-tank threads don't lock aywhere in tank mode (meaning they're free to split open)

-Jet nose doesn't lock anywhere either in jet mode... it the toy ever gets floppy, it's going to fold down

 

Other than that, it's a pretty fun triplechanger. I especially like the tank mode, it hides the jet bits really well. My favorite face is the blue-ish one with the monocle now.
