Movie Rumble from Incinerator

This was the first thing that I thought of when I saw this mold, and I have to think that someone at Hasbro agrees with me, because the colors are almost perfect as-is.

I don't know what they were thinking with that uncolored visor. I gave it a few coats of Taniya clear red.

The face was whittled out of the head with an exacto knife, and the horns (or ears if you like) are epoxy putty. Quikwood to be precise.

And posed with the best Rumble figure ever- some Japanese quarter-machine toy.

I'll eventually get around the painting the head a proper color.

SWEET!

Now all you need to do is add groundpounders where the blades are. ;)

Oh please do it... That would be so :awsum that I would be inspired to try or buy.

*innocently* Frenzy? But that's Rumble's colour scheme.

nice dude, I love this left field yet obvious side of your kitbashing. he looks lonely though. :( also this is about 10,000 times better than this...

I just saw it. Good thing you said something though. I didn't get an email about it. (Not the first time admins...)

Start with a brand new blade. You're going to be exerting a lot of pressure in a very small area, so be extra careful about not not carving your fingers. (I still have the scar from an extremely early customizing attempt- I wanted to make some changes to a Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos figure!) Don't rush it. You can remove very small amounts of plastic and get a smooth surface by shaving with the blade at a right angle to the part. Also, as a guide, you can start by drawing the features right onto the face. Every so often turn him sideways and check his profile. That will tell you a lot. I think the place to start would be to continue the nose down into the face-plate.

The good thing is that if you take a big chunk out by mistake, you can always replace it with some epoxy putty. For a tiny area like that Quikplastic is good (Home Depot, plumbing isle, about $3).

I hope that helps you, and thanks everyone for the kind words.
