Dude, I have Encore Soundwave. Trust me, it comes with Laserbeak (see my video). :)

According to Laserbeak's tech specs (which is the original source of the character) his Courage is 2 and it also states, "Noticeably not brave. Will run for safety if threatened."

While the G1 cartoon made mistakes, featuring Laserbeak as Soundwave's main flyer was not one of them. There was a note in the series' production bible that stated that Laserbeak was to be used in place of Buzzsaw. The idea was that since the SW figure already came with Buzzsaw, there was no need to advertise him.

 

So while mixing Rumble and Frenzy was a mistake (the production bible even notes that Rumble is the "red robot"), replacing Buzzsaw with Laserbeak was intentional.

And the price on the TFC #10 got ridiculously out of hand for a while(bought one at $125 opened and stickers applied misb was like twice that on evilbay), though I'm not sure if it still is since I haven't looked for one in a while.

:pfx Holds multiple tapes, too, which allows for the cool cartoon style eject that the original toy couldn't replicate as well. I can appreciate an improvement to an old toy when it comes along.

I gave away my G1 Soundwave when I got the Commemorative guy. Who the heck needs 2 of that guy? Hell I got one that can hold 2 tapes if it wanted to, unfortunately I display him in alt mode surounded by his minions in not tape mode.

I had 3 Soundwaves at one stage - G1, Comm and Encore. I got rid of the Comm Soundwave. I want to keep my original G1 and I want one reissue, and I prefer the Encore one. I saw no point in keeping 2 reissues (not to mention 2 reissues of Ravage). I keep my G1 Soundwave in its box as a display piece and my Encore Soundwave is the one I play with. :)

 

The only time I got rid of an original after getting a reissue was Perceptor. Otherwise I tend to prefer keeping my originals and displaying them alongside their reissues (typically with one in each mode)
