Just watched the episode. I liked it,it was pretty good. I was like 'OMG ! That's Bomb Burst & Submarauder!' when they showed up in that pit. I just finished watching TF Masterforce last week,and it was like dejavu. Very cool homage to the Pretenders line.

I thought this episode was gonna lead more into the Headmasters story

,but it was over before I knew it. Can't wait for next week !

It just seems like Ratchet shouldn't have been as suprised as he was.

You know, if they're going to start messing up continuity like they did in G1, then I'm not going to bother to figure out it all fits together and instead, I'll accept each new revision as a retcon.

 

So I guess this means that Ratchet never fought the Dinobots now. The old bastard must have been off dozing somewhere.

Why is it you needlessly complicate fiction for yourself?

In regards to that scene: Swoop appears on the screen. Optimus Prime is the first to react by asking out loud "Is that..one of the Dinobots?!?" THEN, Ratchet says, in reaction to Prime "The Robot Dinosaurs? Impossible." By this he, obviously means that in his opinion, those beings couldn't have done it. To pull something off like that, you need motive, which requires intelligence, which, as far as Ratchet knows, these guys do not have. Plus, he doesn't know any better than that they are out of the picture, since they haven't reappeared since the last time we saw them. SO, according to Ratchet, it would, indeed, be impossible for the Dinobots to be part of this. It doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, people are misjudging what Ratchet meant by his "impossible." The continuity is fine.

Ah. The "the" at the beginning makes all the difference. I watched that scene twice and I only heard "Robot dinosaurs? Impossible!"

It's not my fault if the writing isn't consistant.

Except that it is.

My take on it was:

 

1) nobody knew they were TRANSFORMERS, ya know, "robot" "dinosaurs"

 

2) it (to me) was a lol nod to G1 b/c G1 Ratchet helped build the G1 Dinobots, get it lol

that's what I thought when I saw it too.

 

 

Remeber, Wheeljack and Ratchet showed they had the power of Gods when they did that.

And the name Dinobots kinda implies "robot dinosaurs". At least that's what I think Sumdac was getting at when he named them.
