The Attendee Bonus Figure is...

im sorry. this entire set, is just awful.

prime, purple and nonsensical. jazz and goldbug are regular looking autobots with purple insignias. which kind of defeats the whole purpose doesnt it? jazz is not bad himself. but i think goldbug is ugly. to much black, the head doesnt look right, and the car mode doesnt fit with the word "bug" in the name. grimlock as trypticon and starcream as jetfire are the only ones that makes sense, but i dont like them either. and ricco.... should be gold and black. or did they mix him up with goldbug? this is the first set that i thought was a total fail.

and its sold out? good god some people have to much money.

I agree with 90% of this post. No decepticons, making a self-mockery out of the entire concept behind their year's set, NO DECEPTICONS, very bad paint jobs.

Yet another poorly put together BotCon set. This is basically 0-3 here. I now have officially no hope for next years set.

Whoever is designing these figures needs to be taken off of the job. Not fired, but moved somewhere else...

i think the concept was good. i heard people say "megatron in prime colors with opposite headsand vice versa" and that was actually a good idea. had they done something like that, this may have been worth while. also i think the pre-beast wars set was good. i still plan to get that someday. and i asssume that there will decepticons, but theyll be out of the set exclusives.

You mean like this?

Second choice I think.

Damn, someone really needs to buyout Botcon and revamp the whole idea of exculsive figures..... I tired of year after year of overpriced, crappy repaints!

And the overuse of the cybertron molds with the cyber keys, Hello, remold the figure without the stupid gimmick! I liked it when it first came out, but now.... its getting old!

Way to go Botcon, yet another year of you not getting my money for those figures!

Only in TFandom does someone complain for not being able to blow $300 on toys.

I for one am very happy with this set. After the Seeker set last year (DAMN YOU HASBRO!) it's nice to see a set that's both interesting (with, which the exception of Ricochet, this set is) and not something that the average collector feels he/she HAS to own. Something that the hardcore collectors will buy while also grabbing the interest of the casual collector/fan. This is a pretty good BotCon set, IMO. I just wish there were more heroic Decepticons.

Wow, so I'm singled out for complaining about the overpricing.... that's real intelligent! I don't understand about the complaints on molds anyway, I could just see Hasbro modifing the Crosswise mold and in being put into the Unverse line as Ricochet with the Jazz head... just you watch, and mark my words.... it will be there and soon!

MF'ing WIN right there.

Silver megatron as Truck is pretty nice looking!

And I think that Prime head should be on a Vgr sized E-Megs. Because the Nerf gun worked for nostalgia but thats about it.

Actually - i don't dislike the Purple prime. There's lots to like about that. BUT - with megatron's head it would have been awesomer.

The sets are overpriced, but with any convention, costs go up to signify higher collectible value. It a major exclusive so while the price is high, it is expected. I guess the complaints are molds from Cybertron being uses as opposed to the more popular Classics line that were used last year.

Agreed. Ricochet I am sure was meant to be the "Stepper" that we know of... but man, seeing this just makes me glad I didn't buy this year. Goldbug and the Jazz look great. The rest is a big pass. Last year's set was AWESOME. This year... sorry but I can't say I like this set. I'd rather get the Decent Into Evil Set...

Sorry, I didn't mean to single you out or anything, I'm just a little wowed by the reaction some people are having regarding this set. I do prefer the choice of molds and characters of last year's set, no question. I'm a Seeker nut (plus evil Bumblebee looks wicked).

But that also means that despite the superior figures, I dislike last year's set, because it's tempting me to drop $300 on toys I know aren't worth it.

I much rather have a set like this year's, which while interesting and nicely done (IMO), doesn't pull at my heart strings and taunt my wallet.

honeslty, im surprised that they didnt touch any of the movie figures. they could have done some great things with them. they could have done an expanded universe sort of thing. tossed some movie molds into some slightly obscure g1 colors. i think scorponok in green and purple would have been neat. because generally they take their exclusives from molds in whatever the previous line. and now its classics twice in a row. kind of lame...

Some nice repaints of movie Ironhide or Incinerator would have been nice, but I have to correct you - there are only two molds from the Classics line being used here, Prime and Grimlock. The rest are from the Cybertron line. A Classics Sunstorm would have been nice though...

And guys, a MINICON as one of the exclusives? Blegh.

I have one of two theories about the movie line and BotCon:

1) It'll be part of the 2009 event

2) Hasbro called movie figures off limits until full saturation is achieved

Could be a combonation of the 2 though.
