When I'm finished cleaning these up I think I'm pretty much done with the Stunticons for a while. My next project is to sculpt an appropriate head for an Alternators Brawn to add to my collection. From there it's probably going to be an Alt. Cliffjumper and then an improved G1'ish Alt. Wheeljack. If I ever decide to make a MM, I'll definitely let you know. These things are VERY time consuming so I usually stick to what I'm making for myself, and then I share it with the collective.

 

Each head is cast as two seperate parts and is made-to-fit on the Alternators listed below. Of course, if you prefer to use them on other molds, you can either dremel the socket wider or make it smaller by adding some epoxy putty to the existing socket.

 

Dragstrip- Decepticharge

Dead End- Same

Breakdown- Wheeljack

Wildrider- Corvette Ravage

Unfortunately, we're probably looking at years or possibly never until I make a resin MM head. I just don't see him as a Dodge Ram SRT so my only option seems to be DVD Prime. The size, cost and time required to make a resin MM head to fit MP or DVD Prime is just something that doesn't appeal to me.

 

I'd prefer to use the little time I have to make Alternator versions of Cliffjumper, Brawn and a new and improved Wheeljack head. I've also been thinking about making Runabout and Runamuck to add to the Decepticon ranks.

 

Also, now that I've learned that the Roadbots are going to be coming out in 1:24 scale, I'm debating whether or not making a few other custom heads like Kup, Springer and Blurr. I think that since the movie characters had a different look from the rest of their G1 counterparts, Kup, Springer and Blurr Roadbots wouldn't look that bad in my collection. I'm already planning out a Blurr head for the Roadbots 1:24 scale Jaguar XJ220.

 

I was just fooling around to see how these heads would look on an extra Acura I've had lying around so I took a few pictures.

This is what I had in mind for my custom Alternators Wildrider because X-9 Ravage was just a bad idea IMO and the black Corvette kinda suits his character.

I actually tried the same thing previously, with a poor attempt at a Swerve KO head repaint. I hated the Ravage head as well, although the body is a decent redeco of Tracks, especially being a convertible retool. I wish the later Alternator repaints had the care applied to them not to be just repaints.

 

After seeing the heads on the cleaned up Prowl, I really like the way it looks. I had bought a Camshaft and removed all the yellow and turned him into Breakdown, but I think the white RSX looks really good with the heads on them... I think there's a lot of versatility in which bodies you can put your heads on, and still get a pretty accurate team of Stunticons.

 

I sort of like the idea now of using Camshaft as Wildrider, and putting your DeadEnd head on Swerve, with the Reprolabels stripe set... But then I do like the Dead End that Hasbro colored as well, and the Ravage body... I just don't want to end up with 3 black Stunticons... (DeadEnd, Wildrider, MotorMaster).

 

I do like using Wheeljack as Breakdown, and then using a separate Wheeljack with the reprolabels (and maybe your new head) as the real Wheeljack...

 

Are you going to repaint Decepticharge with purple, or leave the black?

 

Gah, too many options. Why'd they make so many second-tier Autobots and not enough 'Cons?

 

To say the least, your head sculpts look good on whatever body people decide to put them on.

The idea of using Camshaft as Wildrider was very tempting for me as well but as his value climbed I decided against it.

 

I do have an issue with using my Dead End head on the black Viper. As I've mentioned before, the Dodge Vipers seem to be more like 1:23 scale than 1:24 as they should be. When I made a replacement Sideswipe head, I wanted to make it smaller and more in scale with the others but it didn't look right on the red Viper or next to Sunstreaker. My Sideswipe head is noticeably larger than the rest of my custom heads because of this and it works when you display Sideswipe and Sunstreaker next to each other.

 

Now when I made this set, I made sure that their heads are in scale with each other and the rest of my custom heads. However, when I place the Dead End head on Alt. Dead End, it looks like this.

Now, when I saw that Silver Binaltech Meister, I thought it was perfect for Camshaft because he used to be a silver Mazda RX-7, and the new meister is a RX-8. I hope you'd consider making a G1 styled Camshaft custom head to go along with the Alternators Overdrive - I won't call him Windcharger :)
