The Stunticons Are Finished!

Recommended Posts

The heads pictured below are color casted. For Dragstrip, it's a black head and the painted parts are the yellow, red, and silver. Breakdown is casted in blue and only his red face and purple eye's are painted. Deadend is casted in black with purple and gold paint but I used clear coat to make his head shinny black since his 1986 profile states that he "spends most of his time shining himself." so I thought it was appropriate at the time. The gloss coat does make the black even darker but it also highlights the smallest imperfections. I'm thinking of looking for some semi gloss instead. Wildrider has been completely painted because I wanted a darker gray color. These have been recasted so if anyone is interested in a set, please PM me.

These heads are made to attach to the following Alternator molds:

Wildrider - Chevy Corvette

Deadend - Dodge Viper

Breakdown - Ford Mustang

Dragstrip - Honda S2000

HOLY! I just saw this! They will be amazing! Pre-ordering now, if available. :)

If you can make a replacement set of the other heads (Ratchet, Ironhide, and Sideswipe) for me, I'll gladly order a FULL set of all these from you once you're done.

I plan on showing "Them" (Whoever that is) and rebuilding my entire collection from scratch.*

*See your other topic on Ratchet/Ironhide for the full story. Although, I sadly lost my entire TF collection in a freak fire. The moving company (ALLIED, DO NOT SHIP WITH THEM) that my new job paid to ship my entire apartment's worth of goods from NC to San Francisco, CA, their truck caught fire in souther CA near Coachella and I lost everything I own.

Let's just say, I lost a ton of non-replaceable items, mainly my entire TF collection, comics, and my entire portfolio of work (I'm a designer) not to mention 500 DVDs and a ton of other books and... well, everything.

Thanks,

Matt

did you not have the collection insured?

Sue those bastards! Obviously they neglected fire safety rules! If i were in your shoes,if they'd incinerate as much as a replica knockoff weapon i'd go into a rage.

Unfortunately, Allied only covers "total losses" at $5/lb. replacement value. The fact that my shipment "exploded" due to a locked up rear axle at 85 mph that ignited the brake lines, means my whole shipment was a total loss.

I did have insurance, but my company paid for the move, and insured the entire shipment at $5/lb. That comes out to about $18,500. Which is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the total value of my shipment, not to mention hard-to-find or non-replaceable items that don't have a price.

FORTUNATELY, I took out a renter's insurance policy on my new apartment 3 days before the accident happened. I got coverage at $25,000, not realizing how much stuff I actually had. I was basing it off the mover's original appraisal at $16,500, so I upped it by 10k and thought it would be enough. It was not, obviously. My AAA renter's insurance will cover the difference, so I'll get $25,000 reimbursed total, so it's a start...

As far as insuring the collection itself, they wouldn't list it as a "high-value" item because it's not your typical collection. Stamps, figurines, coins, jewelry, etc. They didn't consider toys to be valuables, so they didn't insure them as such.

I also lost all my comic books that I've collected over the past 15 years, other books, all my electronics, 500 DVDs, my entire work portfolio (I'm a designer and had stuff backed up on harddrives, DVDs, etc... all gone now). I lost all my original G.I. Joes from the 80s, the MP and Alternator lines that I collect (the lines were complete with SEVERAL customs) and the entire G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary set (complete up until the latest releases). I JUST got reissue Soundwave, and he's gone too.

I'm trying to find a lawyer to see if there's anything I can do legally,

eagerly awaiting the unveiling here. I always love the suspence.

and about the fire , I guess that we should all learn the lesson here, if you move TAKE YOUR CUSTOM'S IN YOUR CARRY-ON BAG!

I would die if i lost my entire collection, about 1/4 of it is irreplacable or custom. I wouldn't even want to try and find a MOTU faker in the box. ugh, good luck

When I joined the Navy and went away for boot camp, my little brother let his friends go thru all my stuff, and they stole/destroyed most of my original transformer collection, to say nothing about my star wars stuff...they took model airplanes and broke the wheels off so they could "fly" them around the yard...when I came home I discovered that there was like 6 full boxes of stuff missing...my parents didn't think I'd care because they were "just toys". The only TF's that survived my childhood were Hoist, Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, Rodimus Prime, and Soundwave. I had stored Buzzsaw inside of Soundwave, and excitedly ejected him only to discover that Buzzsaw too had fallen victim to the carnage, as he no longer had a head. The whole thing scarred me emotionally and the remaining TF's went back into the box untill a couple of years ago a friend stopped by with a grocery bag full of "sci-fi crap" he found at his uncles place. I took the bag into my kitchen and dumped it out on the table...out came Grimlock, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Grapple...just a whole pile of Transformers that I thought I'd never see again...I got the bug...I got on ebay and every other TF site onthe net and starting whoring every figure I could get my hands on...and it didn't stop with G1...I started grabbing Beast Wars, Alternators, Armada...anything that looked cool enough to put on display...my bedroom became a haven for a bunch of plastic nerd crack...a shrine to toy robot ass kicking.

Eventually it slowed down much to the relief of my loved ones...but then I discovered that there was a group of people that took existing TF's and messed around with them to make them look like even cooler TF's or TF's you couldnt buy in the stores...so I guess I'm off the wagon again...

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your valuabes...I know that it's very traumatic.

Not a day goes by that I don't look at my collection and wonder if there's some Stunticons hiding in there somewhere...

Wow, somebody remembers what this thread's about. lol!

Don't worry ALPHA, I'm not a big fan of the WIP threads because it seems like many if not most of them take WAY TOO LONG or are forgotten. Wildrider is now about 50% finished and that's all I'm holding back for. They WILL be unveiled within a weeks time. Then the fun of recasting these guys for those interested will begin. Here's an updated teaser.

Heh, sorry for getting everyone off-topic. Maybe I should have started a "I'm an unlucky S.O.B." thread.

My apologies, I too, am eagerly awaiting the Stunticon heads so I can rebuy all the freaking Alternators again, and this time have proper heads for all of them.
