Hello! Haven't had a new custom in a bit. So, I brought some teaser shots of the Dirge I'm working on.

 

 

 

 

I went with a darker blue, for that more menacing look. Better pics will come along once I finish him up. He's waiting for some gold touch-ups to his wings.

 

 

Here, we have a quick look at the modified wings. I didn't go as far as making cannards on the separate wing piece attached to the body, but I figured this'd be enough to get the look I wanted.

I hope people keep customizing and posting the Classics seekers until the people at Hasbro realize how bad they screwed up by not putting these out themselves and choke on it.

 

However, they still have their option for Sunstorm seeing they never used him for an exclusive yet. With that in mind, there is a possibility that we'll at least see him made sometime down the line.

 

That would actually be pretty cool if they did. That way it would make it easier to acquire the bodies needed for more customs.

Nice, I too bought 3 extra Ramjets after last years Botcon exclusives ended my hopes for a retail release. I have taken apart one of them but lack time to paint.

i've started a dirge a while ago but i put him to one side and forgot about him after altering his wings, thundercracker was finished when i started but that was several months ago now.

I wish i had classics ramjet,or starscream. i sure hope henkei will come up with ramjet as well. cause i have GOT to try my hand at some seeker bashes.

Quick update:

 

 

Here's a look at the jet mode. He still needs some touch-ups here and there, then I'll get to the hilights. (Hence, why no bot mode pic just yet--I'll wait until he's finished)

 

Silver's a must, but I'm debating between painting certain spots (shoulder detail, kneecap detail, body hilights, etc.) in either red or yellow. Most people use red, but I think the yellow might look better on him. I haven't decided just yet.

Looking pretty damn sweet,are you gonna attempt a wing-mod?

Only as far as the wing fins I've already made. I decided not to do the cannards, but I do have the wing components from the Ramjet I'll be turning into Thrust (he's next :D ). So maybe sometime in the future I'll set out to making some. Then they can be interchangeable. ;)

 

Anyway, he's all done! Well, except some Decepticon symbols. (I can't find my clear-backed ones. Gotta keep looking...)

 

 

 

I think the blue being dark works on him. Makes him kinda hard to take pics of, but it keeps him menacing. I decided to go with the red detailing afterall. I think I got it in just the right spots; not too much, but enough to keep the guy from being too plain.

Well, being done with this one, my next project is Thrust. And truthfully, I'll admit straight out I'm kinda cheating. (Got those repro wings from Alyosha's corner. VERY nice pieces)

 

I know you mentioned your next one would be Ramjet, but I'm probably more interested to see how you do MP Thrust when you get to him.

 

Not that Ramjet won't look kick-ass, I'm sure. :D
