Bumblebee with Hands

Recommended Posts

No, I'm a newb, and therefore am not the basher that created this amazing mod, but was wondering if anyone knew the site they came from (I've since forgotten), and/or what hands they used?

...thought I'd show that it's a pretty decent paintjob on the car mode as well...

And another shot of the bot form, from the back, to show off the attention to detail this basher put into this one...

That is amazing! I am so going to do this to mine if i can find some better hands. Shame these ones have four fingers, it would have been better if they only had three like the movie render of bb had.

yeah... the only real complaint I had about this figure was that the modder didn't do anything other than paint the hands to make them look more like Bee's. Would've also been better (IMO) if they'd done the door wing mod...

Is that the mod where you take the pieces of the doors off the forearms and stick them onto the main door sections that form the wings in bot mode?

This is the best BB repaint ive ever seen of this particular model though.

oh I agree hands down (pardon the pun...), I've just been trying to figure out how to make the door wing mod better (as in, trying to make the running panel able to fold down onto the calf panel) and improve the upper arm.

I'm wanting to combine my favorite mods on mine, and take advantage of all of them.

These include:

The Door-Wing Mod (obviously), with the intention of smoothing the lines, to remove the old seams.

The eye-gouging of len_d69, with the intent to use the eye-gem trick, preferably tiny ones...

Ideas of mine to improve the look of BB's bulk (hint, this has everything to do with the duck feet), and also trying to find (or make *shudder*) hands for BB that can be made to look as movie-ish as possible...

But I gave about $20 for BB on eBay, so I'm doing more planning than modding at this point...

So far, all I've done to mod my figures is tighten joints with pencil erasers, sand down irregular areas (usually using an emery file...), and use the ever-popular silver Sharpie for BB's figures.

What kind of paint do most people paint figures with (i.e., for the dirty steel & body panels of the car)?

...oh yeah, and I repainted my Beetlejuice figure (Showtime head w/ Wedding head) to detail his teeth and smile, correct his eyes (with light glint...), and paint in his fungus-infected sideburns and hair roots.

Also, corrected his neckline by painting in his neck at the top of his shirt on the figure (just plain white paint, save for the hair going down the side of his neck...)

Overall, it was a nice way to kill a half-hour at 3am... but it was all done in acrylics (which is how I got the color to lay in the recesses of his hair and teeth...

Hands are of a Gundam kit.

Ok...so which one? Theres like a million gundam kits out there.

Rat: Most people tend to use acrylics and enamels on transformers.
