Thank God if this ends soon...I need more episodes of CSI, Law & Order SVU, FULL season of Lost, K-Ville(though i think it got canned due to the strike), Heroes(although the way it ended was good if not on til next year), Prison Break, Bones, and for summer time 4400

Humorous (to me, at least) responses:

1) Is THAT still going on?

2) And I was hoping it would at least last long enough to keep the turds that wrote the first TF movie from writing the second one.

The main criticisms of the film were in editing and pacing, IIRC, ie the way the film was structured more so than the writing. That doesn't mean the writing was stellar, but it was on-par with most action movies and sufficient for a film about robots hitting each other, IMO. I'm a lot more worried about the fact that they're writing the new Star Trek movie, a franchise that DOES very much depend on writing to succeed.

Thank you.

NOW WOULD EVERYBODY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TF MOVIE'S WRITING REALIZE THIS?!

Yes. Sorry. I will stop having the opinion that the Transformers Movie (which I own and have seen multiple times, though once with the absolutely hilarious Rifftrax commentary) was a poorly written piece of action fare, after all, it is comparable in quality of writing to such great films as the aforementioned Independence Day, Armageddon, etc.

Sorry, being "on-par with most action movies" doesn't do much to elevate the film in my eyes. I know, I know, its a movie about giant robots hitting each other, but that doesn't mean it has to be crap. I'm probably coming off as a little harsh, I guess, because I did enjoy the movie. There are just some incredibly stupid parts.

"F-22 pilots would NEVER fly below buildings." --said moments before F-22 pilots fly below buildings.

Hmmm... and I thought somehow we were all past people complaining about the incredibly sucessful movie.

Nope!

(just because a movie was successful doesn't mean it was a great movie.)

INDEPENDENCE DAY'D!

way to bash my 2 favorite movies from all time. :tfsad

good to see the strike is ending. the daily show, colbert report, and tonight show have been getting rather stale without writers. i didnt even have a problem with the strike till i discovered it included tv.
