I can't praise this guy enough! He is the single best Prime in my collection (better than MPC IMO). He looks great in all modes, has great poseability, a massive arsenal of weapons and, of course, Omega Prime is a damned impressive leader for my Autobots too. My girlfriend bought me Prime and Magnus for christmas when they first launched (still several months before RiD even appeared here in the UK - must have cost her a fortune - like I said in the 'girl fans' thread, she's got great taste when buying me presents!)

Looking at Remy's Takara version I wonder why they never painted him red like the Hasbro version. He certain looks better than the yellow version IMO.

Thoughts? Which do you prefer? Even if you only have the Hasbro RID version. Thanks! :bounce

That's not the Takara version, that's the TFU Sam's Club exclusive. The Takara Car Robots Convoy was red just like RiD Prime. It's a kickass toy any way you paint it, though.

Oh? Thanks for clarifying did not know it was the TFU Sam's Club exclusive.

RID Optimus Prime, in spite of its radical difference from previous Optimus Prime incarnations, has become one of the best looking Primes I own since I started collecting last year with Armada. He kicks Energon and Armada Primes' asses, looks amazing when combined with RID Magnus. The only recent, non-reissue Prime that has beat out his quality is of course, Masterpiece Prime.

i love the guy personally, after mp prime hes the best prime i got, articulate and a massive shoulder cannon too

:tflaugh Well I have to agree with everyone else, this Prime rocks! With all due respects to the other Optimus'es this one is probably the best. (excluding MP-1 Convoy) His basic mode has a striking aperance of the orginal G-1 Prime. Wth the armour attached he looks the bisness, and his vehical mode is the most different of Prime's to date. To combine with Ultra-magnus is a awesome feature (somthing which Optimus has never done before) Wow, Omega Prime . The best combined form.

Certainly, RID Optimus gets my vote as one of the best transformers ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh

I love RID Prime, but personally I like him better in his super mode than as Omega Prime. I don't know why, really? That's how I have him on display, in super mode, standing alongside Powermaster Prime, Universe Primal, and of course MP Prime

no doubt he's the best non mp prime! i just wish i had got the set with that big-ass sword :grr

I love RID Prime, but personally I like him better in his super mode than as Omega Prime.

Yeah, me too. His proportions are just a bit...off as Omega Prime. Although he looks a lot cooler if you put Prime's missle launcher/feet on the sides of the legs.
