I thought the show was great, excellent animation and a great story. I agree alot with what Outrider 74 said, as animals, they still had to walk everywhere until some got 3rd modes in transmetals. I myself also prefer large armies but they kept the action rolling along nicely.

Large armies are nice, but they did a damn good job with the number of characters they had.

IN beastwars the characters were really well fleashed out and were themselves similar to some from G1, Dinobot's death was some of the most effective animation i have ever seen. + the G1 refrences and the embracing of the past were part of what made this line great. one more thing 3D G1 Autobots and Decepticons, when i saw that ep i couldn't help but look for my fave bots

That about sums it up.

The toys though... I loved the show, and it got me interested in Transformers again. However, I didn't buy any of the toys until Hasbro started reissuing the G1 TFs. I remember going into the store to look for a Dinobot figure and being REALLY disappointed with the way they looked. I, for one, would love a Dinobot MP style toy about half the size of Prime - it's something I've wanted for a long time.

It was a great cartoon.....I really liked it a lot. But sad to say I didn't really like the toys much at all....between the fact that I'm a car nut and I'm kinda old school the animals didnt stand a chance. :tftongue

I can only say one thing.

Greatest TF series ever.

I completely and 100% agree.

the show's pretty awesome; there were less animation errors than in G1, and while the G1 shows were great, BW does a better job with character development (although it's somewhat limited). not to mention the excellent CGI graphics; normal Rattrap looks just darn, uh, amusing in his beast mode.

they had beast modes cos if they didn't transform they'd blow up from energon radiation and there were small sides because megatron and the preds were runaways and op primal and the maximals were explorers. oh and welcome D-Tracks-X

I'm a huge fan of the show and the toys. Beast Wars is a great piece of Tranformers history.

Beastwars had an advanced plot compared to what we see now (energon, armada) Beastwars was a show I could watch over and over again.

Agree 100%, but additionally, beast modes are fine, as long as they are ROBOTIC beast modes. The stuff with having hair and scales and whatnot is just silly. Is it a robot or not? Apparently not. I'm fine with the original Ravage, for example, and even Battle Ravage, but not most of the Beast Wars stuff (especially the Fuzors, or however they were spelled... ugh).

The occaisional figure, like Big Convoy, was cool, but he still was a shell-former. Beast wars figs were often shell-formers and/or had far too much beast-kibble to deal with. Granted, many G1 figs had kibble, but somehow a window that hangs off is much more palatable than a recognizable head that hangs off.
