There's ACTUALLY an internet wide debate over this?

Considering that he called me racist and claimed that I was apologizing for the Nazi's, I find it necessary to correct him.

I will admit, I probably over reacted with the bit on the end. But it's still a valid point, the Jews weren't the only ones who died in the war. Maybe I'm a bit hardened to who Icecap79 is because I've had the whole "pity the Jews, they died needlessly" thing shoved down my throat since I was little and I'm sick of it. I'll also admit that it was rarely Jewish people who shoved that down my throat.

So, I apologize, not that it means THAT much.

You are a fool if you think so.

Ya so talking about Nazis on TF forums in threads where the discussion isn't about politics or world history is a big no no. It can get you bannorzed. I should know. ^_^

I'd much rather trust my ability to judge character than someone else's. In this case, HasTakTomy.

Except for the fact that Transformers is a property owned by Hasbro/TT. It's their universe, they decide what's good and evil within it. And they've obviously decided that the 'Cons are evil and the 'Bots are good.

Who says HasTakTomy has any sense of who's a good guy and who's a bad guy? Imagine if they had made a "GI NAZI" toy line and on the packaging said "Heroically good Nazi?" Would your argument hold water then? Please.

Oh, for Powerglide's sake, it's their Powerglideing toyline, and is therefore their right to say who's good and who's bad. Good guys are obviously those who's actions are just and heroic, and evil are the guys who are basically pricks who go around slaughtering everyone for the sake of it, etc. They're the writers of the story, it's their call. Stop trying to argue the point. Autobots are good guys, Decepticons are the bad guys, and it's pretty freakin clear who is what. As I've said before: Little children understand this, why are there older people who can't?

Its ok for people to debate hidden meanings in stories, even those for children. Its because there are things that are in the stories that the creators or writers did not intend to be there. So we are left with three groups:

1. People who like to explore this idea

2. People who don't care and don't post about it

3. People who think those in #1 are dumb

Yes, but the point is it's bloody stupid to debate something that there is nothing to debate about. hasbro created Transformers, and hasbro have told us who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are. And yet still people are trying to say :Well, maybe the Decepticons AREn"T evil..." Hasbro says they are, so they are. End of Fcuking story.

Evil is determined by point of view and also by actions.

Yeah, not when it's fiction. If I'm writing a fanfiction, and I'm teling you my character is evil, he's evil. It doesn't matter if you say he's not, he is.
