Big hauls indeed.

 

Over here (the Netherlands) we do not really exchange gifts. Well aside from small gifts. I personally think they distract from the real meaning of Christmas too much.

 

But that is just my opinion.

 

My parents did promise to take my brother and sister-in-law to see Tarzan the Musical and seeing I do not want to go (How is that crappy Tarzan ever gonna hold up against Buffy The Vampire Slayer The Musical?) I can spend that money on something else.

 

So I am using it to by MP-03 Starscream (Walmart version). It will not cover it completely but it goes about half way. Much better than nothing. :tftongue

 

the gifts do get in the way, the way people treat them anymore. i personally get most of my enjoyment from giving the gifts to ppl, esp kids and seeing their joy.

well let's see here now, I got: G1 commerative Ultra Magnus, G1 commerative side swipe (i already had 1 but its the thought that counts). Takara Soundwave,

DC Direct Crisis on Infinit Earts series 3, New Frontier Dr. Fate series 2 (i was able to get all of series 2 weeks ago except for Dr. Fate, he was the only 1 I didn't have).

& lastly Kingdom Come series 1 Hawkman. now all that's left to do is sit back & rake in the "belated" gifts that slowly trickle in over the next few days.

Let's see, I got SWTF Darth Vader, TFTM Voyager Class Megatron, and my girl got me a big box of G1 goodness: complete Blaster, complete Hosehead, complete Triggerhappy, plus Perceptor, Hoist, Shockwave, Superion, Optimus Prime, Astrotrain, Goldbug, Chase, Grotusque, and various paperwork. Shockwave is busted in a couple places, so I'm going to try my hand at fixing him up (never attempted that before), and the others are missing weapons, so it'll keep me busy for a weeks locating all the extra parts/paperwork I need. Lot's o' fun!
