clear paint

Recommended Posts

is there such a thing?for painting on clear parts but let them still be clear?

yesIts how one paints light bars on model police cars

As in colored-clear right? Tamiyia and Testors all have clear red, blue, orange, yellow, and green. I prefer Tamiyia clear colors tho as Testors keep icking up on me.

Is 'icking' a technical term? ;p

I'd definitely choose the tamiya over the testors.

Yeah, but you hafta be part of the Union to use it properly, otherwise just use the other technical terms, like 'Gunking' and 'Gooping'.

thanks

Other option if its a small area it to use a sharpie or other permanent marker. Colour anything larger like a window and you may start seeing streaks.

Testors has the obvious transparent series of colors, but if you are trying to paint with a brush, try Testors "Metal Flake" colors. They are all transparent and are supposed to support underlying colors. They are impossible to get a solid color with.

Also, if you are looking for clear coats, All metallic colors come with semi gloss floating on top..... simply don't mix the bottle and use the clear liquid.
