Like I said above....SUBSPACE!!! :tflaugh

If you watch any cartoon/anime you will find that every character can whip out a sword from behind their back that wasn't ever there.

There are entire theories about it, I'll find a link for you :D

EDIT: Here you go: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/6563/subspace.html

Turbine027 is right it acts like pocket for a place for things to go, i mean they have to be able to get wepons from don't they.

According to a Japanese magazine (or was it the phone messges?), his trailer teleports back to the base.

I think the rule in most animes is that a character has a certain amount of "sub-space" (or was it null-space?) from whence they can pull weapons, etc that otherwise were never visible a few frames prior.

In Prime's case, he's a leader...so um, I guess he got a LOT of subspace.

I couldn't think of the term "subspace" at the time of making the poll so I just said a different dimension. Thanks for the clarity!

Mabie it folloes him like a cute little puppy?

I recall reading also somewhere that it just teleported back (though why Prime himself would not have teleport then is another question). I voted for it shrinking down and going off screen. But it got me thinking.

I think his cab has a third mode of transformation, resembling a rock or such in that form, thus hiding in the surroundings.

i voted off screen

as for the whole getting smaller/bigger the was DW put it it reminded me of "honey i shrunk the kids"

I've definitely heard of the subspace theory, and I guess that is supposedly where the weapons come from, etc. But I just think it's silly. Why can't they just teleport themselves into the subspace area if they are in trouble? Is the subspace area the same for all the autobots?

I voted simply off screen. The animators just didn't want to deal draw it if they could avoid it.

It's also possible that the mini bots hauled it away when Prime wasn't looking. After all, the trailer makes a perfect place for them to hold their energon kegger party. :tftongue

I was watching the second season episode "Blaster's Blues" last night and noticed that it has some different action with regard to the trailer. Instead of just magically materializing behind Prime when he transformed back to a truck like it usually does, in this episode there is a scene where Prime transforms into a tractor trailer, starts driving away, the trailer comes barreling in from off-screen, makes a turn and then connects to Prime.

Rodimus Prime on the otherhand, sometimes his trailer does a Prime-like materialization - other times the animation makes it seem like the trailer becomes his legs.
