Yeah, animators take a lot of liberties during transformations. In many scenes, Ultra Magnus's white cab has a few panels that flip around to make it turn red and become the robot mode chest.

Rodimus Prime on the otherhand, sometimes his trailer does a Prime-like materialization - other times the animation makes it seem like the trailer becomes his legs.

If I had been Rodimus I would have used my battle platform EVERY TIME I transformed. I would have ridden that thing around like a Segway with the guns a blazing :tfgrin

The Care Bears came down from the clouds and whisked it away every time Optimus transformed onto robot mode.

I'd say every lost item was up their asses, after all they did reach back there to pull out a gun. With Primes trailer, it would have to be up there and around a corner so it wouldn't fall out at an inconvenient time such as battle. The only time I recall Prime's trailer transforming was in MTMTE when it shot Megs cannon of his arm and Megatron had fired a shot at the same time which destroyed the battle platform. Supposedly all three feel the pain of the others? HMMM. Walk it off Op.

Gonna' say the classic answer, WHO CARES?! LOL, I love that.

Something like that.

It's either that, or Prime's got one of those cloaks, like Dr. Strange has, that's full of pocket dimensions where he can store his trailer.

I voted that it goes to another dimension/subspace, but Personally I have always thought it was more like a matter storage/transport system. Same goes for weapons the weapons are stored in a memory buffer, when they need the weapons they can rematerialize them as needed. :tflaugh

wow this was the very first question i EVER asked at a tf board (TFN way back in 2001)

none the less the answer i got is just like the weopons it goes into subspace..

i think there is actuall and episode where you see it coming out too

Welcome to TFans 1987olds442! I liked your idea of a memory buffer...kinda like TRON I guess.
