What is your opinion on Hasbro now

Recommended Posts

I am deffenently begining to think that Hasbro is really showing a lot of love to the collector. Most of the Hasbro bashers said that they don't listen to fans but that is no longer the case. look at the evidence. One there originally plained to realise a yellow Tracks but due to fan concern they are putting out a blue one. Then there is also the smaller Megatron. A lot of fans used to debate on which one they liked better, so Hasbro desided to put not only the smaller one out, but put him out with is Japan colors (something a none fan wouldn't notice, or at lest understand the diffrence). There is also the reissues that Hasbro continues to put out and support. Well I deffenently feel that within the last year Hasbro has decided that the fan base is very important and they have started listening to us. GO HASBRO, and keep listening :thumb

If they would release TF's in the UK better and not keep stopping the line before they've even sent half the line here, then I would have better things to say about them. Annoying that I can't find a lot of the Armada line now, was the same with RID. Still, it's nice to see that some TF's are appearing here for Energon, hope it's not all they'll release here though, wouldn't mind being able to buy Rodimus and Prowl and the others.

:pfx Hasbro has gotten a lot better in general lately. Aside from the way they work their assortments of figures and some of their less than enlightening Q & A's, they seem to be realizing that the fan base is also a very profitable market. I think they're starting to see that they can market to the older fans and children alike. They have gotten a lot smarter about their repaints as well. And all the protos of upcoming figures for Cybertron tells me that they're not done yet. I hope that they continue to impress us and children alike in the future. Another thing I do hope they improve on for the future is working with the animation, dubbing companies and TV networks more closely.

I'm still not sold on the idea that Hasbro is getting better. Their customer service is horrible to say the least but hey I'll admit they are showing some signs that they are getting better. But they still have work to do to catch up with the mighty Takara.

They've been doing alot better since RID, even in a crap line like Armada they managed to give fans what they wanted in completing the Seeker trio and even going the extra step to remold Skywarp (which for a non show character is pretty impressive), E Magnus, bringing us a reasonably priced 20th Prime (compared to MP yeah, 40+ for stacks, inacc gun and a pretty box? Pffff), Alternators (again, much more resonably priced than BTs, which are more than twice Alts because of diecast?!), the repaint line fans have been demanding (Universe) as well as localizing the reissue line, commissioned a company that made a MUCH better TF game in TF:Armada which is alot better than that sorry G1 cashout game

and most importantly.....WEEKLY UPDATES. Granted some are less useful than others but its a good effort to see (how often does the Takara website update like that?),

Sure...

Where do I find Takara's Q&A page again?

a q & a page with absolutely no new news......

hasbro is still crap here in europe, a situation not comparable with the US or asia.

i do not exspect hasbro to listen to every G1 orientated proposal that the hardcore gang put's in, because these guys have no limits and are freaking boring, they got their reissues.

i just don't like teh general way TF are going again, oversimplistic, ultra unrealistic kiddy stuff

I think recently theyre doing a pretty good job. Except of course for getting the new waves of toys on the shelves promptly. BUT, some of that blame has to go to the retailers. Example:

Walmart stuffed suit #1: "So I hear those Transformers figures are pretty popular."

Walmart stuffed suit #2: "They are, we should buy plenty so that we are stocked up real well."

Walmart stuffed suit #1: "You mean like buy 50 million cases of only Wave 1 characters that will still be warming the shelves marked down to 3 cents each because every man woman, child, and spiney slime monkey in America has 3 already and is still waiting for the 7th wave even though we've never ordered the second wave?"

Walmart stuffed suit #2: "Exactly!"
