Movie fight scenes

Recommended Posts

I don't see how shooting so the audience can't f-ing see what's going on can be regarded as a good thing.

They should put in the corner of the poster.

"FILMED IN CONFUSO-VISION!!!"

"I got an Idea. Point the camera at their ankles and shake the camera. It'll look Real!" Great, Bay. Just f-ing spiffy.

I didn't really mind Micheal Bay's style of a shaky camera and limited view.

But I can see where prime and pun are coming from.

I wanted at least one scene where there was a pan view of a fight scene. I also wanted a full transformation scene where I can see the whole transformation from a better view, but guess that was due to a limited budget.

I was just getting tired of scenes where I can only see feet of an autobot.

Yeah, some shaky camera stuff is great, the old private Ryan thing. But I agree with many of you, there was just too much of it and not enough larger shots IMO.

I for one am glad they didn't have an in focus falling off a building while both combatants are punching each other. I Powerglideing hate when they do that in superhero/comic book movies *ugh*

I mostly agree but that shot was pretty sweet in The Two Towers.

Yep, shooting fight scenes with transforming robots that are not an everyday sight for most people in a shaky style is the way to go.

Confusovision is always crap. Unless its like for ONE perspective shot.

Confusovision, lol! It wasn't all bad. The close-up scene where Bonecrusher transformed whilst still on the move was ace. The final battle for me was the biggest problem. A coupla scenes I couldn't tell who was who and doing what to whome. Some scenes in Confusovision from a human's point of view would have been good, to get the fel of the panic of being in a battle with giant robots, but then pan out and let us see the TFs doing there thing in their full glory. The Blackout cutting the car up is the perfect example. It'd have been great to have seen that more clearly. Anyways...

Yea the camera angles made me pretty much say "wtf is going on!??!" especially in half of the frenzy scenes, it just moved around way to fast.
