They're decent, and incredibly faithful to their animated countrparts. The dinobots got raped. and I don't like their animated style. I have no doubt the show will kick major ass and that these will make a lot of kids a lot happier. But I'll pass. Not looking good with the rest of my apparently oober realistic movie TF (Landmine Stockade and that osprey look amazing from the movie)

 

You think? I like the dinobots a lot. Slag is an interesting choice and I'm all over that robotmode. I hope they're at least Voyger sized.

I agree. Grimlock is incredible. He puts G1 and that Energon fig to shame. Alt/BT Grimlock is a different story. I just watched that video clip of the show and Megs colorscheme is super G1.

These make me very, VERY excited after being pissed at most of the movie molds.

 

I really want a digibash of Soundwave, though.

Prime doesn't have a trailer...the Voyager mold has a back end vehicle piece that becomes an axe in robot mode...but no real trailer. And it can be seen attached in vehicle mode: here.

Ah, so that's what that is. That makes more sense.

I thought Prime had a whole back end looking more like Bulkhead. I kept thinking I saw picts of this. Maybe I'm wrong but never the less, these are a must have. I think the fans in Japan-Land are probably salivating over these figures as much as we are. ^_^

I was very surprised that these toy were made toon accurate, it didn't seem possible when I first saw the show clip.

 

I like the figures, I think they are interesting but this style better only be around for one cartoon series. It is fine for awhile but I will eventually want the more realistic looking design back.

Me too. He hardly looks like he can transform just like the show.

i still say the whole lot of them look like they are related to JAY LENO. Ok for a spoof - and even comics or tv - but I would hate these to be the new main-line TF series. Way too cartoonish and jay leno for my taste. The MOVIE TFers have a heavy alien-esque look to them (especially the decepticons). I much prefer pure 'mechanical' and 'realisitc' attributes (which the movie autobots gravitate to). I would much prefer a TV series pickup where the MOVIE left off - base it on Michael Bay's characters - and write story lines from the movie on. Michael Bay could even give the writers a few small 'tidbits' of info to help tie it in to the 2009 movie - and ensure it doesn't become flooded with too many characters and go too far off future movie mainlines. I think such a self-controlled approach would make a more long-lasting series. But I seriously doubt the business minded folks (that are not TF fans) care about longevity as much as they do short-term profits and a disposable series.
