Very cool job.

Personally, I love alt Skids & wish the figure was re-painted into the obvious choices: Ironhide &/or Ratchet. I agree that the flames sucked, but the mold was PERFECT as a G1 homage. The flames are extremely easy to remove with rubbing alcohol and elbow grease.

I agree, Skids is a great homage to his original. A little alcohol and a rag and he's perfect! I was even able to leave in a couple red stripes to break up the blue a bit.

I don't necessarily agree with the repaint part though. I'd have liked to see those guys done up as a Caravan or something.

Yea, I know, Caravans aren't "cool", but then neither were their original Vanette alt modes.

While Ironhide would work, a Scion is just too darn small to be a proper ambulance.

I've seen a few KB's of both and Skids does make for a good bot mode of those guys though!

I'm a G1 Skids fan, and a G2 TFs fan...I guess I'm the only one who finds Alt Skids to be absolutely perfect the way he is.

yeah, i just used a q-tip, and some alcohol. it gets rid of the word skids, but not the stupid tint, at least not alll of it.

i am just going to do a translucent red over it

nail polish remover and cotten balls/q-tips will do it. it's difficult and time consuming but it works. i did it for the ratchet i'm working on.

and for the record: Skids vehicle is lame (imo) as is his head. but the bot mode is great! prime is the worst alt. :tftongue
