I'd be more interested in Insecticons. Like, small bug-sized ones. Cuz at least they're animals that haven't been extinct for millions of years and stuff.

If Michael Bay says "I totally want Dinobots in the sequel" then that would carry some weight.

Are you kidding me? The dinobots were made for a Michael Bay movie. If any director in Hollywood can say "I want a giant robot t-rex running around, wrecking crap and blowing Blot up in my movie" and keep a straight face, it's Michael Bay.

I got an idea for the Insecticons - let me know if you want to know.

Michael Bay has a reputation as a big action director, not a big WTF THAT LOOKS GHEY director.

Like a giant robot t-rex is any less "ghey" than Armageddon's magical meteor world.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

But I know you like to be contrary, so I'm not going to really pay too much attention to it.

I got 2 words for you: Nebulons.

This must be joke right? What's with the two words crap, when you use one word with multiple syllables.

besides if fans want it, we CAN get it: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,278513,00.html

So yes I'd be for Dinobots.

It's a figure of speach... a turn of phrase if you will... and a joke besides. If you had to ask then you didn't get it.

A) This thread already exists.

B) Putting "spoiler alert" and the potential spoiler in the same line accomplishes nothing.

:tflaugh

BTW just because one producer thinks it's a cool idea doesn't mean it's going to happen. From what I've read, Don Murphy is adamantly opposed to animal transformers.

Then why is Scorponok in the current movie? Dinosaurs are the only animals large enough (aside from elephants and whales) to make robots of roughly equal size to the current ones.

I can see how a story can be made very easily with the Dinobots and Constructicons involved. The Dinobots come in as a scout team millions of years ago. They scan the planet and take dino-forms to look around. A meteor hits and they get knocked out (I can see an awesome scene in my head where Swoop gets hit by it in mid-air and then is dragged with it as it hits the rest of the Dinobots). This can be the intro part of the movie. Fast forward to the present. A large contruction site hits something weird while digging around. They dig up the Dinobots. Someone accidently activates something on one of them. The Constructicons home in on that. They find the dig location and scan the vehicles there to come in without being detected.

See? A story is easily formed with both groups involved.
