Fox to release Beast Machines DVD

Recommended Posts

Do we really need this abomination on DVD? The cool and intriguing idea of sentient alien robots was dashed by this series, which turned the TF into just plain old, organic-based aliens that we've seen many times before.

All real TransFans shouldn't like Beast Machines. Not only did it completely destroy the whole concept of Transformers as sentient robots, it also ruined the interesting characters and story of Beast Wars.

not to mention it chucked the G1 and BW stories and timelines out the window.

My reply, one more time:

Wow. Beast Machines. One of the worst TF stories told. One of the worst stories for any universe told period. Let's see, how do I write a story, where I can totally disregard any history, even though I'll refer to it in the show, completely do away with having to use more than a few characters, and then come up with one the LAMEST TF's ever? (A plant?!? I mean, honestly) I know! I'll say Megatron singlehandedly and CONVENIENTLY defeated the entire population of Cybertron, imprisoned them all, and I'll just use a bunch of mindless drones as background characters and inhabitants. That way, I don't have to write or think that much. Then, I'll, in know way explain how he does it. Oh wait, a virus, that'll do. Yup, no Matrix, no Autobot OR Decepticon Army. No Predacons, no Maximals, no Gaurdians. He was able to completely do away with an ENTIRE planets population and take over. Then I'll throw in the good guys running around alot and talking to a giant glowing orb. (And just to really piss off the fans I will make one of the most well liked characters from the previous show a bad guy. PERFECT!!)

Beast Machines: Lazy story writing at it's best.

God, I would much rather be forced to watch that episode where Seaspray falls in love until my eyes bleed than this tripe. Bob Skir sucks.

Just because someone likes BM does not mean they are not a real fan. I enjoyed BM, and consider myself a fan of Transformers, from G1 to Energon. Also, how did BM ruin Transformers being 'sentient' robots?

BM added to the G1 and BW timeline. Both BW and BM added to both the G1 cartoon and comic continuities. Everyone has their own opinions on the series, but you should get the facts right before putting something down.

hello, BB! key to vector sigma and plasma energy chamber? both in G1. BM chucked what they are out the window. as well as everything else!

I notice that Fox is going to release a Beast machines on DVD. I hope they put all 26 episdes on 3 DVDs.

I thought Paramount got the rights to do TF DVDs and videos. I know Rhino doesn't anymore, thank God.
