Sure Cure For A Bad Day!

Recommended Posts

I had a crap day at work the other day and was feeling a bit like a human punching bag. But when I got home I got a little something that brought a bit of a smile to my face.

Just thought I'd share. Again, sorry for the lousy pics. Low batteries + crappy camera = not so great pics.

I realy want those realgear bots. They make my deepest fanboy a happy fanboy.

-Edit- The protoform toys looks like poop. In the most literal sense of the word 'poop'.

I like the camera myself, it's all g1 reflector colored

The Real Gear bots are VERY cool! As you can see from my pic of Longview in my hand they are pretty small but they do have awesome bot modes with plenty of articulation.

Power Up (the video game) is the easiest by far. He takes all of about 4 seconds to transform. Consequently he's the most blocky but still has great articulation in the arms and legs. His game screen has Jetfire swooping in with guns blazing along with video game status readings on the borders.

Longview (binoculars) is a little more complex but still pretty easy. The bot mode just rocks! He's a stocky little guy with fantastic articulation. He can do the splits, as I believe they all can along with shoulder, elbow and wrist joints. His chest flips open to reveal a viewscreen with Crumplezone in it. Neat little touch there.

Spy Shot is pretty simple to get into bot mode but a PAIN to get back into a camera again! The way he transforms is what makes it weird. The arms, legs, and head are all on parts that have to be slid around in a semi-circular groove until they are in the right place and then everything has to be twisted, turned, and tucked in the right way....trust me, it's a Starscream!

However, something about Spy Shot just seems....classic. He's got a very nicely detailed head which seems to be kind of a throwback design yet it works very well. The red light piping eyes really stand out too. Nice details all around. The camera button clicks and he has the picture of Ransack on his viewscreen. I'm stuck between SS and LV as a favorite they are both equally cool.

I'd say it was worth spending the little bit over that I did. I won the auctions at around $4.50 each but it basically came out equal to paying full price plus shipping on each one individually so I can live with that.

As for Prime and Starscream, the entry mode might be a bit odd but the bot modes are REALLY COOL! They probably have the best articulation of any deluxe sized bot. Maybe some as good, but not better and they look a lot better in person.

Longview is a MUST have. His 'superheroic' proportions just so totally RAWK, and he could EASILY be modded into WWI Bumblebee or the Ark itself...

I'm dying for someone to paint the camera dude as Reflector! :clap
