Wha...?

So I guess my old Hyundai Excel really wasn't a P.O.S. because I couldn't have built a better car myself...?!? :roll Come on, dude. It's called "logic" -- use it.

Face it: this is 100% Velveeta.

Logic?

Where I come from, we have a saying:

"if you don't like what you get, make your OWN."

Logic is, unless you're prepared to DO something about a situation you don't like, you have no right Starscreaming about it. In this case, if you hate the artwork, then draw or paint a better one. But to call it "cheesy", while it may be your opinion, isn't one we all share. And if it is so horrible to you, then show the artist who painted it exactly how you think it should have been done. But I haven't exactly heard anyone complaining all that much about the G1 artwork on the back of the boxes.

As for your car: if you could have built a better one, then you should have. Then taken it a next step, and actually made it transform. (then posted it here, so you could be the envy of TFans. :D)

I love optimus prime is G1

but my spirte vision Optimus Prime???

sorry, wrong post.

Logic is, unless you're prepared to DO something about a situation you don't like, you have no right BITCHING about it. In this case, if you hate the artwork, then draw or paint a better one. I wasn't under the impression that I was bitching about anything. And even if I am in the minority around here, you're never going to get me to agree that airbrushed murals are anything more than a cheesy relic from the olden days before Photoshop. Wake up and pop the nostalgia bubble around your head.

And though I might be striving in vain, I will again attempt to explain to you the fact that one can legitimately criticize an artist's work without being an artist themselves. Have you ever said that a particular movie "sucked"? If so, I hope you're either a film director, actor, or producer (or all three). 'Cuz otherwise you're not allowed to critique it.

Oy -- this is such teh stupid :monkey argument. All I would need to do is take an informal survey around the office, asking people what they think of those old TF box art murals, and you'd realize pretty quick that your definition of "cheesy" needs some rethinking.

I grew up with Beast Wars (I was born in '91, basically G1's "downfall" year), so I usually think Optimus Primal—complete with hearing Gary Chalk say "Optimus Primal—Maximize!" in my head.

G1 Prime is the only one I ever remember being called "prime" eg (Ironhide: "...but Prime") so everyone else is Optimus but my life hasnt been the same since i read pete and frank's bio. whenever I watch winnie the pooh with my daughter i keep expecting eeyore to tell tigger to "roll out" and when I watch scooby doo I keep expecting freddy to blast velma with the cannon on his arm

Mine falls to Beast Wars Primal, only because it was what brought back my interest in Transformers. Also it was the best looking prime I had ever seen, with great articulation, and excellent transformation, and the best is Proper, almost accurate show representation.

I grew up on Transformers, and while G1 Prime will always be Optimus, my Beast Wars Primal is the one that I think about.

yes, but the ONLY Prime in Beast Wars was the on taking a nap in the Ark, and the ONLY Prime in Beast Machines is seen as holographic memorial that speaks to Primal, in season 2.

Other than that, PRIMAL IS NOT PRIME, nor A PRIME!!!!!!!

(pant pant pant)

hat to get that off my chest....

:)

WRONG In Japan Primal was Convoy the second and convoy=Prime so Primal is a Prime, and if you wan't to drag the matrix into this ConvoyII had a fragment of the matrix, It was split up and given to all the convoy's HyperConvoy, ConvoyII, LioConvoy, BigConvoy, CrowConvoy, and many others.
