You haven't shown how it can work though.....

Yes, I have. It works exactly as it is described in TF: More thasn Meets the Eye #8 on page 50—

Mass conversion is the more complex of the two methods, and it represents a significant genetic difference in those who posess it. In their standard size (for example, Robot mode), the basic atomic components of Cybertronians who utilize mass conversion are at rest. However, when called upon to convert into a larger or smaller mode, the very subatomic particles that compose then restructure themselves even as the being's body changes its physical configuration. Much like a Cybertronian's physical form can change its shape and properties, so can the atomic building blocks of those who posess mass conversion abilities. hese particles are hardwired to reconfigure themselves according to a predetermined scematic, splitting up or combining to alter their own mass and density to match the needs of the mode in question.

That is how it can work.

Is it scientifically possible? No. But then most of what we see in Science fiction isn't either. However, it sounds plausible, and is a good explaination on how certain transformers can go through such extreme size changes.

Whether that would work well in a film is a matter of opinion though. I don't think it would.

Therefore you haven't shown me anything.

Very simple. The fantasy film, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977) starring Patrick Wayne, Jane Seymore, Margaret Whiting, and Taryn Power. The witch Zenobia (Whiting) was able to change her size and mass through the use of a potion. Yes, it was magic, but the movie was not a comedy and the saze shifting was done for serious reasons.

Siburke. The only way to know for certain if it would work is to actually see it done on screen. We can go back and forth all week or all year. but untill it is done, can you really say it cannot work? No. What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. The technical aspects of getting the CGI model mas convert believably are up to the animators, not me. its believability or unbelievability rests on their shoulders. I have given a how and why for the story, the success or failure of that would rely on the animators.

And Tramp once again dodges a simple and direct question that would spell doom for his side of the debate by answering. Just as he has for 20 pages.

10 to 1 he won't address this post, either.

What a wonderul world Tramp must live in, where he's free to simply ignore any rational thought that doesn't agree with his emotionally arrived at point of view. His emotionally arrived at point of view about kid's toys, no less.

*sighs*

I wanted an actual, grown up discussion about the story points that would justify the use of an additional fanastic element in the sequel, but that's not gonna happen, I guess.

If you insist. :07evil

Why the ungodly bump?

Because Pete unlocked it and linked to it.
