Vendors who dont know what they have

Recommended Posts

Talk about lucky.

wow, you just need to find a cerebros and a fort max now

See, but he's in a luckier situation than you are, because it's relatively cheaper to purchase a Fort Max and Cerebros missing Spike than to purchase a complete Fort Max and Cerebros w/ Spike. Even Spike on his own usually goes for a LOT, which is why this has been such an amazing purchase for Solscud007 (and through the sheer fortune of a vendor's ignorance).

When it comes to Headmasters, you're better off having the Nebulan and needing the Transtector, than having the Transtector and needing the Nebulan, because the individual Headmaster Nebulans:

a) Are bloody hard to find sold on their own

b) If they are sold individually, they can cost a lot

Sometimes a lot of people seeking individual Nebulans just give up and buy the entire toy all over again. For example, I got Snapdragon in Xmas of 1987 but then a year later a kid at my school lost Krunk. For years I would try to find another Krunk at a price I was willing to pay, but didn't have much luck. A few years ago I just gave up and bought another Snapdragon with Krunk. The Snapdragon wasn't in fantastic condition and was missing all its accessories, but I didn't care because I only wanted to win the auction for Krunk.

My Lord Zarak is missing an arm. This is a real bugger because where the hell am I going to find someone willing to sell me Zarak on his own at a reasonable price?? And whilst I was willing to buy a second Snapdragon just to get Krunk, I'm far less willing to buy a second Scorponok just to get a better Zarak. :( If I had a good condition Zarak, I could easily get a headless Scorponok for cheap.

It's due to the fact that Nebulans are much easier to lose and are thus harder to find - particularly on their own.

So yeah, I'd imagine Solscud007 ought to be able to find a loose Fort Max and Cerebros at what would be a relatively cheaper price.

This bid has a lot of random G1 Transformers (you can sell the excess) with a headless Fort Max body selling rather cheap.

This Cerebros has just come on for bid at US99c - mind you, this seller starts all his auctions at this price so it'll be interesting to see what the final price will be. But I'd recommend making a bid - don't bid more than you're willing to pay for this toy - and see what you get.
