I'm sure he thinks it has something to do with the Japanese...

I never considered that angle. Making the cons small since Takara will probably import the movie toyline at some point and villians don't sell very good in Japan. It's also why Takara used the BM Tank Drone toy for BWR Tankor instead of the mega-sized toy.

Okay now you're making me take back my last comment.

Anyway, they used the more show-accurate version of the toy. That was their criterion. They weren't afraid to sell Ultra Jetstorm over there rather than the deluxe version (which looked a lot less like the show).

Oh, forgot about that :tard

Score

Beast Megatron: 1

Cuban Pete: 0

Why does Ice Megs a head or so taller than the others in his?

Ice Meg is a Voyager. Blackout in alternate mode is pretty big and that's how he's packaged. He's just as big as the other Voyager figures. His gimmick is the reason why he ends up being shorter in robot mode (a huge chunk of the chopper had to accomodate the gimmick, therefore making less material available to bulk up the robot mode).

Holy crap this thread got wierd. Anyway Pete got it right, size is determined by what fits in the box. Now just give me the toys, I don't care how big or small they are compard to each other, they still look awesome.

They make me fear for the lives of those that get in the way of my Transforming robots love.

Effin' scalpers. (Kids I'm fine with)

I'm not even fine with the kids. They're very, very annoying. Especially when they're in the toy aisle keeping you from looking at the figures you want. It's as if they think the toys were made for them or someth....

Oh.

Buy yeah, scalpers are still worse.

It's almost as if some people just completely forgot any experince they had as toy collectors.

Big enough for me to appreciate as a toy.

Will buy all D/V class toys. :clap

Heroes sell better than villians...

i think the sizes of toys are usually governed by how popular a charcter is expected to be and how much money that character is worth - if they only think that brawl is worth a $10 investment then thats all hes gonna get.

So you think that the decepticons are smaller because Hasbro doesn't think that they'll be very popular?

Smaller than what?

Starscream isa Voyager

Blackout is a Voyager

Megs is a Leader/Voyager/Delux

They are ALL FABS.

there are roumors of a Leader Brawl...

What exactly are you talking about? both factions have representations in all the size classes....

Wait, I thought the whole heroes better than villains thing was more of Japanese bit? And a leader Brawl would be oh so many levels of cool.
