Classics Jetfire has a Gerwalk transformation.

Keep the body in Jet mode and just swing out the arms and legs as if in Robot mode. No knees make it look kind of awkward, though.

(To the uninformed, the original Jetfire/Skyfire was based off a Macross/Robotech transforming plane with 3 modes - jet, bot, and "Gerwalk". Gerwalk was a mode designed to give the craft's speed and maneuverability from jet mode and combine it with the firepower of the weapons in bot mode. At least, that's how I recall it... :blueface )

Not to mention that he did use the Gerwalk mode for landing at times in the show.

Actually if I recall correctly, it was called Guardian mode in the Macross sega.

Nope, Gerwalk.

In space, noone can hear you fapping off nude bathers.

Well, dip me in a flea bath and call me a mutt. looks like we're both right though. cause in that artical I found this little snippet

"In the Robotech (the edited adaptation of Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada), this configuration is known as Guardian mode instead. Since the lever which activates the Gerwalk mode was labeled with a "G" they probably had to use a "G" word."
