Classic Mirage

Recommended Posts

Well if he's shelf warming in the US, then why doesn't Hasbro just release him over here along with Cliffjumper, Grimlock and Ramjet and the second wave of mini cons? Or would that be a case of common sense over ruling utter stupidity? Let's see some more CL's over here!

Mirage a shelfwarmer???? Already????

Locally we basically got one of everything from the first wave & at long last & the only one out of the second wave being Jetfire.

I bought him immediately & though I didn't really think much of him the other day I stood him next to Cybertron Evac & was bown away by how much cooler and well designed a toy he was. That said Jetfire has really grown on me. :clap

As for the others I'll just wait until they eventually show up. Definitely plan to get Mirage, Grimlock, Cliffjumper, & Ramjet before I'm through.

There's a WALL of Cybertron Evac's in my local Asda store. Half-price too! :tfwtf

Pick me up one of them, eh? They're barren over by me.

I guess Mirage sold well, and when they put more out so people could buy him, everyone had already gotten one?

I only got mine the other day and think he's a great figure - easily the most posable TF I've bought in years. Sure, the bot mode is a little diproportionate, but that only adds to the uniqueness and charm of the character. I second the motion to ship him over to the UK or other TF deprived areas if they're shelfwarming stateside.

Things always seem to be moving slower when there's new stuff coming that you want. Shelves and pegs seem to be stagnant for awhile and then you look up one day and wonder where they all went.

That's what I've been noticing more and more. I saw incredible amounts of Megs and Primes just evaporate at christmas. It would appear they had the manuacturing plant working overtime cranking those puppies out. They'll go slow, but they will go.

Hasbro is so concerned about how fast they sell, only that they do sell. I would think that if the movie is a big hit then any Classics left out will quickly disappear.

Remember, not so long ago Leobreaker was warming shelves BIGTIME and now people are paying through the nose for him on ebay.

Every where I go there is at least 5 Classic Primes sitting on the shelf. Also lots of Cyberton Metroplex and GF Primes

The King of Shelfwarmers was Beast Wars Transquito. Nothing has ever come close to sitting on the shelf as long as that figure did. Last time I saw Transquitos in large numbers sitting on TRU shelves was in 2001, then they finally lowered the price.

Around here, Prime and Megs seem to be the biggest shelfwarmers. They are selling though.

I WISH Classics were warming shelves in Calgary. Most of the places are still swamped with Cybertron, TRU finally clued in that people weren't going to shell out $80 for Primus and slashed it to half of that, but they've still got every other Cybertron class stuck there. They only recently re-stocked some Classics, and it included the 20th DVD Prime and the Mini-cons (I already have the Prime and I refuse to pay for Mini-cons). Wal-Mart and Zellers are mildly better; they at least had the Wave 1 deluxes last I was there, and Voyager Prime stays on the shelf a lot (damn kids, this is the best mainstream Prime figure in years IMO).

Either way, it doesn't matter; I buy all of mine from a private collectibles dealer (yet I still haven't gotten Grim--he only had 1, and another got it before I did--Ramjet and CJ), so I'm just waiting on the next shipment. And a Magnus/Skywarp that I found for a reasonable price online.

Classics Prime is the shelf warmer here. Then it's a pretty good mix of all the wave one deluxes. In most stores, that is. A few rare occasions, you have a store with barren shelves where you usually only see about 4 to 6 deluxes total on the shelves. Again, a pretty good mix, no shelf warmers.

still has a long way to go to reach Retrax or Transquito
