Rammy's wings make better for Dirge, but Thrust I don't think work well enough. Side by side with the G1 toy here, I think I like the wings being higher up better on mine, but you are right they are lower than the original seeker jets.

 

But for my purposes, the transform would not have worked at all if they were mounted at the feet, rather than at the hips. There simply is no way to have them rotate around to make the proper Robot mode.

 

If I had not broken the tail wings, having them fold up nice and snug to the legs was also a nice improvement.

 

Dirge would be really easy, with mostly the parts on hand. Take a Rammy, chop off the tail wings and carve them down a bit and mount to the top of the main wing. Chop off the sides of the main wings and add a side mounted wing. And paint. Sure one could try and find smaller guns, but why, all black working guns like the others will be just fine.

 

That's not the other seeker idea I had, because I am almost positive that if they repaint Rammy, it will be Dirge...
