RID Prime is likely a cross between the old 1920 style firetrucks.

The long, reallly long fire trucks where the ladder portion was on a trailer like style...

And the really long extendable ladder with attached fire hose.

Then modified and updated for the 90s.

Armada Prime reminds me of a monster truck that has an all terrain trailer.

Cybertron Prime reminds me of a futuristic firetruck, if not that a militar truck that was hauling scientific equipment that Prime scanned and took as an alt mode.

Classics Prime looks like a one of those bigger cabs for the trucker that is constantly on the road....or maybe a prototype or concept truck.

Answers.com says Prime's alt mode was based on a 1982 Kenworth K100

heck, I don't know.... it's not like they all don't look the same anyway

Don't say that to a truck driver.

Anyway, I'm voting for the Kenworth.

1978 Freightliner COE Dual Axle 352

I think that he's a little more generic. It's probably just a mix of styles from both.

No, he's a Hino Branbilar. All the new Car Robot Cybertron moulds (save for maybe the Buildmasters) are based on exact vehicle models. Remember, these were the forerunners to Binaltech.

Here's a picture of a real life Hino Brandbilar.

I believe that G1(and G2) Inferno was also a Brandbilar (manufactured either by Hino or Isuzu), albeit an older and different model from the one that which Super Fire Convoy was based on. Here's a web page on Japanese fire engines.

I knew that RiD Prime had to be a real truck because only an IRL truck would look that non-cool and purely functional :tfgrin

very true that particular truck style could be modified to a firetruck(with its own water tanks) or a stationary crane

Definitely a freightliner. I'm 99% positive of this.

On a funny side note, I once saw a red truck in a parking lot that had "PRIME LTD." on the side. Made me roffle in my Transfanian ways.

i did too and i took a picture of it and posted it here somewhere, and now i cant find it.... but my mom was looking at me like i was crazy when i went into the parking lot to take a picture of a semi

And this image aswell, is also related to RID Prime:

That's certainly quite a neat Firetruck indeed. :tfgrin

And now for this question....

Which type of truck is Armada Optimus Prime?
