The Canonicity of Gigatron and the Destrongers' Multi-dimensionality is confirmed

Recommended Posts

the rid universe is an alternative universe to the g1 univers anyway, it doesn't really matter becasue of this

If the Destrongers came from another Universe, they could be from the G1/BW/BM/TFU Universe

I think they're from the STFU universe.

I'm pretty sure that Pete's right :lol

There was a time I when thought trying to connect every Transformers show (and eventually the comics) into one timeline was an awesome idea. Now I see it as a stupid idea. It's something we have to live with. This is not Star Trek where every series expands on the original. This is Transformers and the G1 timeline ended with Beast Machines.

Sorry to be a downer, I just think it's crazy to try and attempt to connect everything into one. There's too much material out there and meshing it all together will only create fanon in order to explain everything.

Even so, you're saying it like it's a bad thing to have multiple continuities. I don't think it is.

Sorry if it came off that way. I'm saying it is a bad thing if you want to connect everything. Otherwise it's just fine. I think it's futile to try and connect everything because there are so many different continuities.

I suppose someone's going to try to connect the TF movie to the rest of this...? or does live-action not count?

meh I really don't care about Transformers :tflaugh

Yes, conecting the G1 Comics, Cartoon, and the Unicron Trilogy is impossible

RID fits into that same category. So the Destrongers came through a dimensional rift, big deal. It could be any universe, there is no proof declaring a certain universe, ie G1.

The fact that the Destrongers are so oversized is evidence that they could not have come from the G1/G2/BW/BM universe where Maximals and Predacons are around the size of Micromasters.

It can fit into Japanese continuity, since it was already shown that there are multiple Convoys running around in the universe. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit into US G1 at all. The newest problem with trying to fit this in is that blasted Binaltech story, and of course the Robot Masters one.

Erm... how does it fit into other Japanese continuity?

First of all, the Japanese series only ever showed multiple Convoys running around during the Beast Wars age - and Japanese Beast Wars was intended to be an expansion of the Canadian Beast Wars series, as is confirmed by the Beast Wars movie. Since BWII and BWNeo are in the same universe as BW, it means that the Maximals and Predacons (or Cybertrons and Destrons if you wanna be really picky) were also approx. Micromaster size (Lio Convoy is portrayed as being the same size as Optimus Primal); the gigantic size of the Destrongers would still contradict this.

And the Car Robot Autobots and the Earth that they live on is clearly a separate universe from any other TF series - Japanese or otherwise.

Binaltech cancelled itself out of the timeline and Robot Masters involved lots and lots of time travelling so they can fit in with G1 Perfectly
