isn't there any new news about Hound yet? i hate the the period of intervals between reissues. just before reissue - exciting, after reissue - excited to know the next reissue, in between - boring...

Hound is due out in late July or August.

that late? i thought Stepper is due then.....

Stepper is due out in August/September now from Takara, and October from Hasbro.

damn it! if Takara continues at this rate, it will take about 20 years to reissue the whole gen1. that is IF they intend to reissue the whole gen1.

waah

is there any new reissues or any coming out soon?

The Insecticons will be coming out in a 3-pack with little Energon Cubes sometime here soon. :thumb

kewl, did they ever do a megatron re-issue?

what about a devastator re-issue

For the US, Sideswipe and Skids are the next planned reissues (in fact there are reports of Sideswipe already showing up in places). Stepper (a formally Japanese exclusive G1 Jazz Targetmaster repaint) is set to follow in the fall with a couple others (which will likely be revealed at OTFCC at the end of July).

Megatron WILL NOT (EVER!) be reissued in the US due to toy saftey laws (he is a realistic toy gun). Takara released Megatron as part of their DW (Dreamwave) Collection last year (or earlier?) in Japan.

The next few Takara DW Collection releases are: Targetmaster Hot Rod (out now), followed by Hound in July with Stepper in August. As said, the Insecticons are set for release in September.

There is some confusion as to whether Takara has the mold to Devastator, some have said they do, some say they don't. Regardless of the mold situation, I wouldn't expect a reissue anytime soon since there are plenty of cars and jets (and hopefully Dinobots) to go through yet.

I'm aware that they have not officially announced anything yet, after #21 Blaster........

But I'm curious as to the rumors. Does anyone think they might one day release a box of cassete tapes, like the mini Autobot six pack?

I ask because back in my youth (G1), I remember loving the cassettes, and I was thinking of trying to collect them all, along with Soundwave, Soundblaster, Blaster and Twincast. Pricing them out, it looks like the Takara reissues would be FAR cheaper, at least for the big robots.........even considering the huge premuims for Soundwave and Soundblaster.

The cheapest I've seen complete original cassettes for is about $25 a pop....damn!

a cassette box is on every ones wish list but ive seen nothing from the regular sorces yet

as for the next reissue again i have no clue im guessing thier moving into later G1 toys now and on a poll by takara about half a year ago cyclonus and scourge scored quite high so thats my bet

I wouldn't mind a cyclonus or scourge reissure, targetmaster version of both I hope, although some of the charachters from masterforce like Overlord or Black Zarak which goes for hundreds of dollars would be welcome additions also.
