Machine Wars Megatron is a good toy in his own right. He was well articulated and transformed into an F-22 Raptor. Keen! Not everyone is a fan of the spring activated transformations, but that was kinda popular around that time where we saw a lot of Basic sized figures with that gimmick - including the original BW Megatron.

 

MW Megatron is kinda obtuse when compared to the rest of the Machine Wars line -- he's a lot smaller than Optimus Prime and even moreso compared to the gargantuan Starscream.

 

MW Megatron isn't the best, but he isn't the worst either.

 

I picked up Classics Megatron yesterday... bleeccchh... f'ugly ass gun moded shellformer... (-_-)

He has so much potential to become a GREAT figure. but he just dosnt have knee joints.

 

That small fact killed the entire mold for me.

 

He had an awesome tank mode. Guns all over and a great working turret.

 

Even his Minicon was one of the best. And it funtioned as a Targetmaster, too!

 

 

No knee joints makes Armada Megatron the weakest. In my opinion...

Energon Megatron... never did anything. Ever. He probably transformed twice in the entire series. He depended on Prime to reawaken him in the comics. The only cool thing he ever did was on the tv show, when he pummeled Scorponok. Other than that, he never fought, and never had a good plan. Aside looking cool, he was the overall weakest of all the Megatrons.

I agree with T-man, Energon Megs was flat out powerful and Imo was a improved leader when compared to his Armada days. Scorponok gave the Autobots a run for their money early on, and Megs awakes and mops the floor with him, then uses him as a shield etc. He had his fair share of battles in that series.

RID Megatron.

 

I hated his designs and his voice, could never and I mean NEVER beat Cybertron/Galaxy Force Megatron/Master Megatron or Galvatron. G1 Megs= PWNS RID Megs. The toy version looks pretty damn neat though. Just hated the series character. Armada Megatron is just a enhanced version of his G2 version, nothing special there. Energon Megs reminded me a lot of G1 megs when it comes to coloring, but so far.... Cybertron Megatron is my most favorite.

Have to go with Cybetron Megatron. He looks goofy in those colors.

 

Plus all he has in weapons are spikes and a hairdryer! Ok, and 2 missile launchers in vehicle mode. Now that is pathetic.

You mean the Death Claw which was forged from the remnants of Unicron, and the Death Machine gun wich would have killed Hotshot, Red alert, and Scattorshot in it's first appearance if it were not for the intervention of Primus, right?

 

Oh and BTW Cybertron Megatron also has the ability to use "Force Lightning," and is able to create Transformers out of thin air such as Nemesis Leobreaker and Dark Nitro Convoy

"Death claw". How predictable. A typical weapon designed by Japanese story writers. Everything has to have a dumb name. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode (Lisa VS Malibu Stacy) in which Homer shows Maggie a toy called SGT Thug's montain command post which features (amongs other things) "deathbringer missiles".

 

At least that sounded kinda cool. :tftongue

 

 

And call it what you want, the "Death Machine gun" does not look at all intimitating on the toy version. Nor do the claws. At least the cannons on Energon Megatron/Galvatron were massive and suitably intimidating.

 

Besides weapons do not win a war, ingenuity does. And that is something Cybetron Megatron lacked. In spades.

I can't remember E or Cyb megs doing anthing to tatical during their runs.

 

Armada atleast tried too, but he was quite the failure as. Better than RID megs lets attack here plan of the week I guess.
