For the second night of Chanukah

Recommended Posts

I got the following:

a box from BBTS with smaller wrapped gifts inside:

Classics:

Rodimus

Astrotrain

Bumblebee

Starscream

Mirage

This has given almost all of what's remains of Classics at the moment until the next wave (still need Jetfire).

So far, Mirage is my absolute fave. The posability is awsomexinfinity. The Rodimus, Astrotrain and Starscream molds are really nice. Bumblebee needed a gun, so I gave him RiD Prime's (since mine doesn't use his and mostly uses his super mode or is combined with Magnus).

actually they're "hanukiahs", which have 4 candles on each side plus the top one. a menorah is more of your everyday Jewish candelabra, with 3 candles on each side and one on top.
suck on my matza balls Slaughtermaster !

at least menorahs are cheaper than Santa trees

I agree. When you buy Santa trees, you'd be threaten with a rabbinical lawsuit, thus driving the cost of the Santa trees up.

Capitalism is a good thing - unless you want commie Transformers that falls apart when you look at it.

You Jewish MP?

And Slaughtermaster, actually, the gifting thing on Chanukah is/was not an original tradition. It just sort of got identified as a "Jewish Christmas" and people starting giving gifts on the holiday.

Cool, didn't know how many Jews there were here on TFans (I knew I wasn't the only one).

hey I'm Kosher. and I'm used to calling the Hanukiah Menorahs.

old family habit for naming things I suppose.

still, mazel tov.

i'm used to calling them menorahs too, just offering up a tidbit of Jewish trivia.

I would imagine though, you'd differentiate if you kept a proper menorah (3 on each side) all year round, then busted out the hanukiah for Hanukkah.

But for those of us who are sans candelabras year round, menorah is usually the chosen nomenclature. (channeling Big Lebowski :) )
