just finished metroplex's center chest piece (the round thingy...) i've added a bit more details and refinements to it and it blends well with the rest of the building

Three? No fricking way man I give 1,000,000 stars on a 10 star rating system! Hey haow do you get the styrene to curve the way it does on the top of the tower and is the white styrene the only kind that does it? I have a sheet of the grey styrene and I'm working on well much smaller projects as I've not the space for a monster that size right now.

I dunno if this is how Mark does it... but you should be able to bend styrene by heating it with a blowdryer or heating element and holding it against something rounded. Never done it with styrene but it works like a charm with plexi and lexan.

well actually it depends on the thickness of the styrene sheet... the thinner it is ,the better you can bend without heating it... but thickness that vary between 0.060 and + you need to heat it a bit... but it's a technique that i do use....

 

also i dont know if i've mentionned this, but there will be a base that will allow metroplex to be in, in city mode and will be surrounded by simulated water (resin), waterfall ,forest ,bridges and if there's enought space the lookout mountain post as well..... this is a huge project and will take allot of time and PATIENCE lol ...tonight i'll start building #2 !!

details are a prime importance in this project.... you have NO idea how much will be involved in this.... gives me a headhache just thinking about it lol...but all buildings will be as detailled as the main one....

 

this was something i had to do... been killing me for the past 1 1/2 year and when i have something in my mind it has the tendancy to become reality ....

i,ve started building #2 ... very very early in the construction phase but coming along nicely... also put some prime's there for size reference !!
