I think it's the silver sword sold with the first Megatron toy in japan (and withe the reissue too) Look here at the bottom. I don't remember it being featured even once in the cartoon.

No it's the lightsaber-ish sword he use on Prime in the movie. Looking at the bigger pictures that's exactly what it is.
