Damnit, that's the ninth time Classics Mirage has been nominated for TFotD!! Not that I dislike the figure - I agree with the rest of you, it's great, but come on!

 

Look, just to spice this thread up, let's introduce a rule of no repeats - because quite frankly seeing the same TFs being reintroduced over and over again is just getting boring.

 

So far, here are all the Transformers that have already been nominated for Transformers of the Day - these Transformers are hereby off limits for further nominations!

But, people can say whichever TF they want to for THEIR TFOTD.

It's up to the individual, you can't demand that they do as you want to, new TFs or not.

Well, I can't force it, but I would strongly recommend it - just to keep this thread semi-interesting. Cos it just gets real boring real fast when people keep renominating the same TFs.

 

Yeah, you should be tallying votes, not discouraging repeats. Share the love!

Ermm... then it just becomes a popularity contest.

 

Part of the reason why I wanna discourage repeats is to encourage people to use some creativity and put some effort into mentioning other different Transformers on a daily basis.

So what, if i may ask, is the definition of: TRANSFORMER OF THE DAY.

I am still thrilled with SW:TF Mquarriie head Vader (i think i just like saying it).

And i am going on day 5 now!

does that some how make me a bad Transfan?

do i have to play with a different figure everyday?

do i have to ask permission (from you? from who?) before i choose my FAVEORITE TF? Even if only for the day?

 

I thought the point of this thread was to census the community here and see what figures are sparking people's minds and enthusiasm. To be sure some of the lesser known figures might catch someones eye - and they might post a cmment that inspires someone else.

 

But its also very likely that the best of newest figures - entertains a lot of people.

I totally agree with you on this. My favorite TF had always varied depending on what I feel like liking. One day, it could be G1 Megatron, next day, it could be Classics Hot Rod (no way I'm calling it "rODimUs"), and the next, MPOP. I like G1 Soundblaster a lot as we speak, but that doesn't mean I don't like another the next hour.

 

Right now, I am thinking of picking my G1 foam Starscream 3D puzzle as my favorite....

When I was a university student, I would bring a different Transformer to uni each day - and since I had well over 365 Transformers at the time, it meant that I would never need to bring the same Transformer to uni twice within the same year. It'd be sitting on my notepad in the middle of a lecture, or on my desk in tutorials... carrying it around with me around campus etc.

I had him stored for a while and brought him out last night. One of my favs... :thumb

Classic Mirage still because he still impresses me. And to me he is like a combination of a TF & GI Joe toy. Transforms, small but not to small, and extremely poseable.
