Personally, I think $40 can be spent in better ways, but I would like to own an Energon Prime (basically for the name sake). Has anyone seen any good deals on him??

Considering his retail is $40, you would probably have to settle for an open Prime to get anything less than $30 (a short while ago, Prime was on sale for $34 at Target, but that sale is over).

 

The best recommendation is to keep looking on eBay, or wait until after Christmas when stores will be clearing out extra stuff, or if Walmart or Target happen to have him on sale.

If you can get across the border, Canadian Wal-Marts have him priced at about $30.00 CDN (along with E. Unicron). That's if you can find one that has a decent stock of him...*grumble*. Damn Wal-Mart, restock your E-Prime's, 20th Primes, and E-Unicrons...

Wait... there are tons out there and they'll go on clearance eventually. I can't spend $40 on that guy either.

Yeah, I know. I liked Armada Prime. It reminded me of the original. But this G1 Prime is too expensive and it looks like a Power Rangers Megazord. :tdown

But he's INCREDIBLY fudiddlyucking fun!! Crazy fun! He's so damn cool. Plus with Wing Saber coming out, it's just gonna get that much more badass. If you don't want to spend $40 though, just wait and get him when he goes on sale or clearance.

I didn't mean G1 Prime I meant Energon Prime. I was too tired to write right that night. I still think E. Prime looks like an overweight 'bot with snowshoe feet.

And I think your point of view is outdated, tired, cliche', and antagonistic....Its my fav Prime figure period..Grand Convoy that is.

Yeah, I like the toy, but not enough to pay $40 for him...

Unfortunately, I am an impatient guy and when Optimus was one of only 3 energon figures available, guess who bought him the day he found him? ME!

 

I will admit that there are better Primes out there, but this one's still pretty cool, especially in combined mode.

 

So yeah...I kinda said I spent 40 on him but also said that he's not worth 40, so you can see how reliable my opinions are! I guess what I mean is that if you want an energon figure just for having an energon figure's sake, you can hold off on Prime untill he's cheaper because there are a lot of cooler options on the shelf now.

If you don't want to pay full price, your best bet, as others have said, is to wait for later clearance sales.
