These are more than impressive. I'm still looking at Blast Off and trying to figure out just how you made it work!?!

Thanks for the high fives d00ds. It seems this project will be wraping up soon after 2 years. Finally figured out how to do a Vortex. I also had to give the waist articulation as it makes for Bruticus' elbow when combined.

 

I used a 1/48 scale Blackhawk helecopter and a ghey as f*ck Skids toy to pull it off.

 

*Transformation*

 

 

 

 

^^Swing side doors open. Flip nose up.

 

 

^^Separate and extend legs. Lift feet.

 

 

^^Rotate cockpit to form lower leg. Fold side doors under foot.

 

 

 

^^ Fold arm sections down.

 

 

^^Pull head up and forward. Rotate fusalage. Swing tail section back. Pose arms an crap.

 

 

 

^^This was what had me stumped. There was no way to have the tail section form arms as no hands would fit within it. The alternative was to have the arms hang underneath the tail section (Covered with the cannons) and then have the tail section fold back as shown. (MP Starscream style).

Cant... process... so much... Awesome...

 

Insane amount of creativity & work invested here, I'm seriously impressed. Keep making (& sharing) these incredible customs!

Id LOVE to see, one day, whoever owns/has made all the great custom gestalts, to display them together at Botcon. There is that lovely alt menasor, the classics one too, the huge devastator, etc. Plus this one, of course.

 

Perhaps that HUGE Metroplex, whenever it is ready, could all be put in a HUGE diorama, battling it out over terrain with regular sized TF toys under them like ants?

 

THAT would be worth the entry fee alone, eh readers?
