out of curiosity, and i'm sure this has been asked before, why did you go with white for motormasters arms and not silver?

I saw the OS over at TFW last night, and I have to say I enjoy twice as much seeing all of the WIP photos and such. I've really enjoyed all of your work for a while and I know with that new painting system (O_O) you'll "keep it up", so I hardly feel inclined to say "keep up the nice work." Though I hope you continue to share your work on the boards :)

The MP Prime for this project was a craptacular Ebay write-off. It had no accessories. (So long as ye include a head as an accesory) So I used a G1 Powermaster prime skull.

 

Here's another detail I forgot, either Onslaughts gun can mount to the turret or the Megatron pistol can.

 

Trying to stay exact to the toon form is impossible. Like MP Starscream, Onslaught ended up with hip kibble in the form of the center section of tires. These are removable for display but he posses just as well with them on. Somehow, in the toon six of his ten wheels end up on the arms. WTF?

That was a tough decision at the time. Technically, his arms should be silver as they are part of his trailer. Being that the Motormaster build was quite a ways off from his more true form, I decided to make it as close to the toon as poosible in appearance rather than transformation. The toon arms seemed to be white while his head dome was silver so I went with that.

I own an autobody shop but I'd give it all up to build transformers for a living. Cept I only build G1 stuff so it wouldn't help the franchise to move on any.

You're movin' it pretty well from where I stand (yes, sounds kinky but deliciously so).

Badass! I love the Onslaught.

I cannot overstate how Wikkid is probably one of the best kitbashers in existence. His paint applications are so top-notch that they are probably better than the ones on my Honda. For those of you not in the know, Wikkid does auto-body work. He has done some outstanding work on automobiles which translates into his kitbashes nicely.

How many coats did that take? Its so smooth and shiny but its not thick and doesnt obscure any detail!!
