I gotta admit...when I first got WST Snarl from JUSTIToys, I wasn't exactly psyched.

 

I attribute this mostly to the fact that I never owned an original G1 Snarl.

 

Nonetheless, I ordered Grimlock and Slag, and once the three were together, it was like the 80's all over again. I haven't seen many threads posted about the tiny terrors, but they rock. I've spent a little bit of time this evening photographing them, and I hope you enjoy the pics!

 

I'll review certain aspects as I post the pictures...

 

The plastic that they are made out of is not cheap...unlike some other non-Takara Transformers related products. The plastic is definitely up to par with the other World's Smallest Transformers. The chrome is excellent, and (knock on wood) as rough as I have been with them, and as many times as I have transformed each of them, has not chipped.

 

 

Here is a comparison with the original Grimlock...size-wise he's not as small as I would have liked, but the amount of detail that they included is incredible. Every panel line is at least represented. It may not be identical, but its there. Something I actually like about the WST Grimlock, is that they actually added a little more detail to a few sections...like the chest in dinosaur mode, and the sides of the rear section.

 

I chose not to add the stickers...even though thats the best part of G1 toys. I think they look great as-is.

 

 

Again, something I'm a little unhappy with is the size of the dinobots in comparison to other WST...but in all honesty...thinking about their alternative modes...these sizes are actually pretty close to scale (I think...)

 

I know with the WST Dinobots they went for a cartoon-accurate look. hence the blue eyes.

 

 

Here is THS-02 Convoy with Grimlock...now thats a good pet T-Rex...so well behaved!

I think both these pics and the toys themselves are awesome. It is great to see someone that truly enjoys their toys. I have all of the WST Dinobots as well and I have a lot of fun w/ them, but you really look like you are having a good time w/ them.
