Armorhide Complete!

Recommended Posts

This is my first custom/kitbash. I've seen a few others add trailors to this guy. This trailor was a lucky find. I saw someone else on here with this trailor so I looked for and found one. He didn't mod it too much, just made it fit and I thought it was a good idea so I went further with it.

The trailor is a hot wheels hauler series. The trailors actually transform and there's a bunch in the line to choose from. The pin on the trailer needed to be filed down to fit the hole but other than that you can get one and it's good to go.I picked up this one and another that I'll work on soon. I cut off the back end where the original wheels mounted and used a set of arms from another armorhide for the rear wheels. I glued the arms together and drilled a whole right in the middle of where his gun would go for the screw. I also shaved a bit off of the hands to get ot to sit down right since there is a license plate frame on the rear of the trailor. After fitting the rear wheels to the trailor I found that it didn't sit quite right. I thought about trimming more plastic from the frame on the trailor but was afraid of making unstable. So I added some washers underneath the peg to make it level. Autobot symbols are courtesy of Reprolabels. The silver lines on the top of the truck will be painted smoother in the future. I was tryinig some paint out to little success. More paint apps to come: Silver lines extended from the cab where the lines on Armorhide stop. Detail to the H and a few more coats of silver on the inside to which I've already applied one. Last but not least, some some detail to be added to the interior top of the trailer.

That thing is soooooooooo freakin' sweet! Good Job!!

As far as Minicon names... Blastar? Pulse? hmmmm...still thinking.

who about impulse or freedom

That came out really nice.

Armorhide is the 'boss bot'... so why not a name that fits the theme or counters it?

"Shellbreaker"

"Puncture"

"Penetrator" - good for double-entendres...

Was that modeled after the one up at TFmaster?
