Am I too old to keep collecting transformers?

Well, i know that 32 its not "old" except for some prople that say a 32 years old man should stick to other issues. Some people like my family and some friends say they like my collection, and some others say that im crazy and innmature, but i dont care too much about that.

I enjoy collecting and i will continue to do so until i see fit to do so.

Its a good thing to know im not the only"old timer around" if ther's such a thing.

Well I am 24 and sometimes I think that about my trans too but I really like all!! :clap

Well my girlfriend don`t like my trans :tfmad she says me that I am like her baby brother... :tfmad

If you really like your trans, the negative opinions of the others doesn`t matter :wave ...like the opinion of my girlfriend... :tfmad

No way man. Collect until you're 105. As soon as you start thinking you're too old. YOU WILL be.

My (unsolicited) advice to you is to first make sure that you do have a job that can support you and a future spouse. It's a tough transition going from being single to being married, and it's sometimes especially difficult to adjust to the new level of financial responsibility. In my opinion, discretionary income is all any of us with a family should be using to purchase TFs with. My wife and I struggled with credit card debt for years, and it just sucked.

Not that the Spychangers are going to put you under or anything; I'm just saying that it's important to make sure that your focus is in the right place. (If you haven't already, you may want to sit down with your girlfriend and have an honest talk about both of your financial priorities, just so you both understand each other that much better.)

Take it FWIW (and good luck to you in your job search).

Thanks for the advice. No, just currently taking care of some health issues, probably until near the end of this year, before I can find a job, save money and even think about marriage. I try not to go too far with my collecting in the meantime.

Hello my fellow TFans. I need to hear your opinion about this. I have been collecting transformers since i was 10 years old. right now im 32,married without kids and im starting to think that i might be getting too old to keep collecting transformers.

So what do you think is the "proper" age to stop, iuf there's such a thing.

Of course that doesnt mean i dont like transformes. I have one helluva collection that im going to keep for a long time. So, i want to hear you guys, what do you think?

I also snatched a G1 Scorponok on Ebay for $66.00, almost complete, is it a good deal or not?

Some times I have thought the same thing. At times I am concerned about this issue. Therefore, I tend to be a bit hesitant when buying. Sometimes I feel "guilt" for spending so much on this hobbie, specially after paying $48 for E-Megatron.

But despite these facts, I still love them. I cant help to drool when seeing the picture of a robot. Something dep inside keeps pushing me on that directon.

In short, for me its a matter of the collector. If one feels too old and don't enjoy it anymore, then (s)he should bail out.

Hey Cotto1972 I made the comment on here that "your never to old to collect TF" and at my age of 32 I stand by my statement. As long as your bills are paid first why not enjoy collecting what you want? After a 10 year hiatus I have started collecting TF again starting off with 20th Anniversary Prime with alot more to follow. Hell when I was a kid TF were cool and fun to collect and they still are today. I only wish I would have kept all the originals I had when I was a kid but hey I was young and stupid then. So keep on collecting TF if you enjoy it and like I said as long as you pay the bills.

I will be 32 this year and I am married with three kids, and I plan on collecting transformers until they are 32 and beyond.

I'm 35, engaged, with two teenage kids and two pre-teen son-to-be-stepkids, and I still collect

AMEN BROTHER!!! The important things come first, but always try to find a way to keep doing what makes you happy

I'm 26. My g/f doesn't like me collecting transformers cuz she says that it's a nerd hobby, that I should be hooking up my car more, my second hobby. Or working out or playing tennis, a real adult hobby.

But she said that it is my money and she can't control how I spend it, witch is true. Also that she doesn't care that I collect if I were say, a millionare.....
